A lovely, peaceful stay with warm hosts. Duane looks forward to a future visit when down in Exeter again.
Had such an amazing time at Joy's studio and the alpaca farm! The en suite was spotless, the bed sheet and towels smelt so clean and fresh! Joy was kind enough to spend (a lot of) time showing us her alpacas, her workshop and answering all our questions! Breakfast was right next to the room and was beautifully cooked! With Joy's own homemade jam (amazing stuff!) and eggs from her hens! We had a really good night sleep as the area was sooooo peaceful and quiet! Just amazing! Would love to stay again in the future. Thank you again for your kind hospitality and inspiring us to keep a few alpacas ourselves!!!
Note to those who are keen to visit the alpacas - make sure you bring the right shoes with you!
Joy was a fantastic host we were made to feel very welcome.
Breakfast was delicious ,we loved visiting the Alpacas and the workshop.
Highly recommended stay
Joy made us very welcome on our arrival, we were really pleased with the room, it was very calming, warm and cosy. We dropped our bags and headed straight up to feed the Alpacas as our little girl was excited to see them. Joys hubby gave us a lift into town to watch the carnival which was really sweet and kind of them. The bed was super comfy, in fact the most comfy bed away from home EVER! Had a lovely sleep, and brekkie in the morning was just delightful.
All in all a fantastic stay, lovely friendly and warm host, a calm and peaceful apartment.
Would defo recommend staying here!!!
The entire experience of staying on an Alpaca Farm has been wonderful and enriching! We loved that our room was very spacious, airy and clean, and nothing beats having a delicious, full breakfast on a cold morning. Our marvellous host, Joy, took us around her farm and introduced us to her 14 lovely and adorable alpacas, patiently answering all our questions about them. Her workshop is an eye-opener as well: spinning and weaving alpaca fiber into knitted scarves, gloves and bags. Thank you, Joy, for that sweet and crunchy apple too, love it!
The studio was lovely. Both my children had a great time here & really enjoyed meeting the Alpacas.
Joy was a wonderful host & answered all their questions. It was great to be able to see all the lovely products Joy had made with the alpaca wool.
The cooked breakfast was very good & the children liked that it was served in the craft room.
Thank you Joy for making the girls stay so lovely.
A spacious modern studio in a quiet rural location. We were made very welcome by Joy and Dave and the Alpacas! It was a bonus to be able to meet the Alpacas up close. Joy recommended a local pub restaurant which was great. Very friendly hosts who were happy to spend time chatting about their various ventures. Tasty breakfast at a time to suit us. Would highly recommend as a quiet retreat.
A lovely little studio, perfect for the three of us as a one-night stop on the way to our final destination. It's clean, well designed and comfy, and Joy laid on a nice welcome and a lovely breakfast in wonderful surroundings. My daughter is still asking us to go back to see the Alpacas.
We had a fabulous couple of nights in this studio. Joy's welcome couldn't have been any warmer and the accommodation was beautiful. The cooked breakfasts were delicious. The alpacas were very friendly too and certainly made our stay all the more special. We hope to be able to return soon.
It was Vers nice, a very comfortable room and a great breakfast
