I'm currently studying in Columbia University in the New York City.
I stayed at a newly rented apartment. When i arrived, couldnt get in cos Fangming did not get the keys from previous owners yet. however she was kindly enough to take care of my luggage as i had to leave for uni that day. as the place was newly rented, nothing was there (no cooking utensils/hair dryer/ironing etc) but an air mattress as a bed which was very comfortable. Manhattan is a great city to explore day/night so i didn't spend much time indoor. The place was less than 2mins walk to the subway so it was super convenient for get to downtown areas. Neighbourhood seemed nice and quiet. Fangming was a very accommodate host, helped me with my extremely heavy luggages. Cons were no lift/elevator so travellers with heavy luggages will need to do some heavy lift up 3floors. Also there was no TV, but apartment came with free wifi so you can download shows. Again exploring New York is much better than watching TV (do that at your house!!), or watch a Broadway show at Times Square.
Cherry (Fangming) was a great guest- she is very polite and considerate
