Great apartment great location great hosts all all-around positive experience definitely highly recommended.
Location is great, very close to a lot of trendy shops and pubs. Place was very cozy and accurately described. Hosts were communicative and handled unexpected issues in the house quickly. Minus 1 star for a couple issues that are just personal to me - very low flow shower (it is functional though), electric house heater isn't great (if you stay in winter it can get chilly in the apt, I had to use space heaters which sufficed), no bedroom dresser to put your clothes (easy fix though, and there is a closet). Overall it was a nice, pleasant stay in a very explorable part of town :)
Rose and Scott were great hosts! Their apartment had everything we needed to be comfortable such as extra cozy blankets, heater, big couch and functional kitchen. I was able to do laundry inside the apartment which was convenient since I booked a monthly stay. I enjoyed staying at their place and getting to know the nearby neighborhoods while I went apartment hunting. My husband and I would recommend staying at this location!
Apartment was clean and comfortable - the couch was comfy as an extra bed. The kitchen was particularly nice. Great communication from the host - all the info we needed. Location is great - easy walk to Pearl District/Downtown, and 23rd - or there's the bus that runs up Burnside within a couple blocks. I'd happily stay there again.
The neighborhood was perfect for what we were looking for, it is in walking distance to a number of awesome restaurants, theaters and shops and the apartment was very clean, cute and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Rose was prompt in answering any questions that I had about the property and the house was in a great location. The apartment was very clean and all the amenities were there. If you're looking for a nice one bedroom to stay close to downtown, I'd recommend this. One thing though is the apartment did smell very strongly of cigarette smoke, to the extent it gave me a headache. Additionally, there is no designated parking spot, and around the building there is 2 hour parking from 7am-7pm, so we had to keep moving the car.
The location was fabulous - only blocks away from Powell's Books and Blue Star donuts, and only a short jaunt to Washington Park, the Rose Gardens, and the Wildwood trail. Plenty of good eats in the vicinity. The apartment was well maintained, and the space easily accommodated us. We did notice a strong odor of cigarette smoke in the living room; it was less noticeable in the bedroom. The on-street parking was restricted to 2 hours between 7am and 7pm, but we had no problem making it work.
Although we never met Rose, she was very responsive to messages and helped us get situated. She provided several local magazines and guides with attractions and activities. The location was a great jumping off point for exploring the city.
This place was soooooo cozy and really was in the heart of it all. We walked all over the city and were so close to prospect park to meet our friends who came in on the train. It was so nice of Rose to let us bring our little dog along too! We took extra precaution by laying down sheets to protect her leather furniture from any paws and claws. It was a perfect stay!
This apartment has a great Dowtown Portland location. Just a mile from the Saturday Market and a Voodoo Donuts.. And even better just a couple of blocks from Powells. The apartment was clean and easy to access. Parking is the only difficultly as it is mainly permitted parking, but we made it work.
Rose and her brother were great to work with. There was a snafu (on Airbnb's end) regarding the address of the unit and Rose was quick to get me the proper info. She gave me the privacy I prefer, but my sense is she would be a great purveyor of local knowledge if you ask. The apartment is clean, quiet and in a great central location.
