I am Canadian and my husband is Iranian and we live in the centre of London in a converted shoe factory. As much as we love our adopted city, we adore travelling and getting under the skin of places, which is why we love the concept of AirBnB.
We think of ourselves as warm, considerate, easy going guests - the kind that are happy to be given a map and left to their own devices, but are equally content to be absorbed into a household and its routines. We love to chip in and get involved - we're big foodies and love to cook, love music, architecture, languages and cinema but we also appreciate the need for privacy and give our hosts plenty of space.
We like to seek 'off the beaten' path places when we travel so would love to soak up any local knowledge and tips about a tiny hole in the wall serving great tapas, a neighbourhood bookstore. or a place where all the locals go for morning coffee. We love getting around on foot or by cycling so also appreciate any tips on renting bikes or scenic walks.
We've recently been travelling a lot to Turkey and Scotland and hope to meet you soon on our next trip!
