Venice is amazing and this house is too. Stayed two nights. Pros - Bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. 30 seconds and you're on the beach. The front porch had a nice high fence so it was quiet place to eat breakfast and have a nice cup of coffee. Gated parking which is amazing to have for this area as the beach area gets very crowded. Went on a run with my boyfriend to pier, Marina, and back along the famed Venice canals all within a 4 mile loop. GREAT location! Kitchen was huge and we ate almost every meal in. Cons - Internet and entertainment system were complex. Never got them to work but we were out and about so not a big deal. Small stuff - Dishes were dirty so we washed everything and the front porch and ashtrays were littered with cigarette butts. Overall AMAZING!!! Note - 1st night we had the place to ourselves. 2nd night a couple had the upstairs bedroom.
The place was fantastic! If you want to be in the heart of the action on Venice Beach this is the spot. It is an oasis with secure parking for 3 cars. We had a full size van and one of the other guests had a full sized Suburban and while it was tight we did fit. Richard's staff kept the place as clean as a hotel and had it cleaned each day we were there although I suspect that is not normal. The house is well built and up to date. The only downside I can think of is the tvs all had several remotes to operate and out of 8 guests staying at the house only one could figure it out. But if you are there to watch tv then you probably are not there to enjoy Venice Beach ;-)
I cannot imagine a better house for the money practically on the beach itself. I would definitely stay there again if I were to go to Venice Beach.
Great apartment, and perfectly located if you want to spend some time in the beach! Very clean and luxurious. Would definitely come again!
Richard and Kathy were welcoming and responsive to our every need. we had a great time and look forward to staying again soon.
We stayed in the master bedroom for 3 nights and it was great! The room was very spacious and had a bathroom built in, the rest of the house was great too, very big and a great kitchen. We didn't spend much time in the house but the location was AMAZING! A block from the beach, 2 or 3 blocks from the Venice sign and about a 20 minute walk from Santa Monica pier, I'll definitely stay here again if I'm back in LA!
Richard was a great host. The house is absolutely gorgeous and the neighborhood is a lot of fun if you know what to expect in Venice beach. Literally as close as you can get without actually being on the boardwalk. Thanks Richard!
This was a great house for hosting a mini conference weekend. It accommodated 5 guys very comfortably and the kitchen was easy to use. This is not a luxurious property tho and the location could get kinda sketchy at night. Overall is a nice house to spend a weekend with the family or a large group of friends.
While we found this home only last minute, it turned out to be a golden choice! Just about 100 m from the beach (second beach house row), you are in close vicinity of Venice beach.
The true beauty of this offer lies in the appartment itself though. Unfortunately we could only stay a single night, way too short for this superb home. It is equipped very nicely, highlighting especially the living room with the TV & dolby surround system, and foremost, the fireplace (which can be turned on via remote-control =) The bathroom is likewise luxurious.
So, definitely a welcoming place, coupled with great hospitality by Richard, the host.
All in all, great value for money - looking fwd to coming back!
Richard was very accommodating even before we arrived, waiting for us and making arrangements for smooth processing of the deposit. Once we did arrive he was very helpful showing us around the house, making sure all 9 of us had a place to sleep and showing off all the gadgetry. The house itself was nicely furnished, had all the amenities you could ask for and comfortably slept all of us. In terms of location it was great for us, literally right by the beach and parking for 2 cars in the back we could easily explore the city from there. Venice Beach of course has a fairly large homeless population but at no point did we feel unsafe in the neighborhood, even at night. Couldn't have asked for a better host or house for our short stay. We would all gladly return given the chance.
Great location close to Venice beach boardwalk. Beautiful house, and Richard is the best host. Would definately come back and recommend to anyone travelling to Venice/LA!
