My husband John and I love Boulder. We have lived in North Boulder for more than 12 years.I love to garden and read and John loves to cook and cycle! We welcome guests to share our lovely, spacious, and quiet home.

We had a wonderful time at Nancy's place. While the location is beyond walking distance from downtown, we were easily able to take a bus nearby to Pearl St. The bed and room are very cozy, and we were greeted with fresh flowers in the bathroom! The house is beautiful and picturesque. The breakfast was also a nice addition. Nancy was a great host and communicated with us multiple times before arrival, even helping us with directions to her house. We were able to use some of the books Nancy has about the Denver/Boulder area as a reference to plan and go on a couple of hikes in the nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. We only wish it would have been a little warmer during our stay so we could have enjoyed their patio, and the path around their nearby lake. Thank you for such a wonderful two days in Boulder!
Yes, we had a sudden cold snap. Great idea about the space heater, Sara. We've added one!
Ver nice people with an accommodating and comfortable home.
Nancy and John were very friendly and kind. They were always happy to help us find a good spot where to eat or a trail where to go hiking. They are wonderful people and they made us feel comfortable. Their house is beautiful and the neighborhood is very quiet. We would totally recommend Nancy and John to those traveling to Boulder.
Thanks, Gustavo. We thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us. Come back any time! And good luck with all our photography projects.
Nancy was a great host. Very hospitable & helpful. She & her husband gave us helpful tips on places to eat, things to do etc. They have a lovely house in an equally lovely neighbourhood. There was coffee, muffins, yougurt, fruit & granola readied for us every morning.
It was a very pleasant experience & if we find ourselves in Boulder again, we would definitely love to stay there again, if they'll have us :)
Come back any time, Deeksha!
It was great staying with Nancy and John. They were welcoming but also give us space. The location is a few minute drive to the city center and the house is beautiful. We had our own bathroom adjacent to the room, with towels and toiletries provided. They also gave us a few good maps and recommendations for Boulder. The coffee and breakfast in the morning were a nice bonus. A great experience!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Nancy and John. They greeted me warmly when I arrived with my teenage son. The downstairs room was beautiful and quiet and the bed very comfortable. They kindly provided a futon and sheets for my son which worked out very well. We had our own bathroom too. We were greeted in the morning with a vey ample breakfast of fruit, yogurt, granola, muffins, toast and some of Nancy's delicious homemade jam. The outdoor deck looks out over a beautifully landscaped garden and open space for hiking right out the door. Nancy and John were very respectful of our privacy and gave us room to come and go as we needed. They were excellent hosts and we had some wonderful conversations. John plays the piano beautifully and hope you have the chance to hear it when you stay with them. One added bonus is that they live within easy walking distance to a tennis and pool club. We went swimming there one afternoon and it was truly a delight. Finally, they aren't far from downtown Boulder and there's a Lucky market with delicious food close by. I would highly recommend staying with them and hope to come back and stay again soon.
It was great staying with Nancy and John. A very nice place in a beautiful location. It was great having some breakfast food and coffee ready in the morning. They also provided us with some local maps of trails which we found useful. Even without AC the basement was a good temperature during some hot summer days. My only advice would be to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper and want to sleep in, since the kitchen is above the bedroom. Wasn't a big issue for us since we were getting up fairly early anyway.
Nancy and John were very gracious hosts with a beautiful home set right outside boulder. The space for us to stay was perfect as it was comfortable and private if we wanted it to be. The back deck was our favorite part, hanging out with John and Nancy and looking at their beautiful garden and hillside. Waking up to a full breakfast was not too shabby either. We feel very fortunate that they were able to accomadate us on such short notice and would gladly visit them again!
My boyfriend and I stayed with Nancy and her husband for one night while we were in Boulder. We had a great stay. Although her house was not in downtown Boulder, it was a five minute car ride and a 10 minute bus ride. We took the bus downtown and it was very convenient. Nancy had everything we could possibly need- towels, hair dryer, shampoo, soap... even make up remover! We woke up in the morning to a selection of granola, yogurt, muffins, bread and coffee. We sat on the back patio and ate breakfast- it was an amazing view! We had a lovely stay!
A clean, quiet room with adjacent bathroom in a very nice home, in a lovely residential neighborhood. The room is downstairs, and the downstairs is built into the hillside. As a result, the window in the BR has no view (only a vertical shaft for fresh air and some light). But there is a patio on the side that is private and pretty much for your use. If the weather is fine, there are 2 patios (main and lower) on which to hang out, have breakfast, do work. If the weather is not fine, you are more restricted. Hosts are pleasant and direct. They are busy with their home-based businesses, so don't expect to be coddled or have them breathing down your neck. Location is about 10 min drive from downtown Boulder.
Nancy was a fabulous guest. Easy to communicate with, respectful of the property and inimitably clean. I would have her back at any time.
Nancy, her husband and her son were great guests, nice and polite.
We were happy having you at our place !
Nancy was a great guest and I would LOVE to have her back again! Thanks for visiting Chicago and I hope to see you again.
nancy es una gran mujer, una optima huesped y la estancia con ella y su familia ha sido de lo mas agradable.
Nancy is a very very handsome, kind and generous person. It was a pleasure for me to host her. And listen, Nancy! If I ever near you I will stay at your place for sure! ;o)
Thank you! Howie
Nancy & John are gracious and welcoming hosts. We continue a 30 year old friendship that began in California where we all lived at one time. Their Boulder home is spacious and lovely...a quiet and peaceful sanctuary surrounded by beautiful gardens reflecting Nancy's passion as a gardener. You may enjoy a walk to nearby Wonderland Lake or find yourself fortunate enough to catch John playing his soft, contemplative music on the grand piano.
Nancy and John are the most fabulous hosts. I was working most of 2011 in Boulder, and did not want to stay at a hotel. They opened their home and their hearts to me, making my many stays so enjoyable. Nancy knows all that is happening around and is the best source for ideas and connections. Their home is so lovely and welcoming. Backing up to open space, the views were breathtaking- whether deer, fox or mischeivous squirrels, the wildlife abounds. Walking around Wonderland Lake is magical, the views amazing. I give my highest recommendation to Nancy and John and encourage you to find out for yourself what a wonderful stay you will have at their home.
I've known John and Nancy for, oh my, almost four decades. We've traveled with them, hosted them, and been hosted by them. It's easy to feel laid back or enthusiastic with them. They're interested and interesting people. They live in a very nice home and neighborhood in an impressive, contemporary little city.
