Polly was a warm and welcoming host. Very flexible and a lovely breakfast.
A wonderful place with a view on Charles River.
Polly was a fantastic host! She was very helpful with suggestions of places to visit and really made me feel at home!
I could not have made a better choice for a stay in Boston.
Polly's house was perfectly situated - in the morning through our bedroom window we could see the rowers on the Charles River and lots of people jogging along the Riverside walking/cycling path.
It was a 15 minute walk along the river to Harvard Square, 20 to beautiful Harvard Yard and the campus and a 20 minute walk to Huron Village and Formaggios the best grocery store in the U.S.
Polly was a wonderful and caring host and very knowledgeable of the area and it's history. The house is rich in New England history. To top it off for a quick meal you need only walk 5 minutes to Darwin's, easily the funkiest coffee shop in Cambridge, with a full array of interesting customers from hipsters to venerable profs!

Polly's place was perfect for my Dad. He stayed for 9 nights and found Polly warm and welcoming. She was very accommodating with regard to check-in and check-out times. The place was very clean, had a terrific view, and was otherwise exactly as described. It was only a short walk to Harvard Square. He would definitely stay again and was sad to leave.
Polly's home is wonderful and the location is excellent. The room, which is on the third floor is spacious with a comfortable bed, private bathroom, WiFi, ample amount of cupboard space and much more. The room has a great view of the Charles river, which unfortunately i wasn't able to enjoy much due to the snowstorm. Best of all, Polly is a great hostess and a really lovely person. Polly and her family were very welcoming and flexible. I was given a set of keys and was free to come and go as i pleased, which was great. Hopefully i get an opportunity to visit again and would recommend folks vising Cambridge/Boston to stay at Riverbend B&B.
Polly was a wonderful host. A delicious hot, breakfast was waiting for me every morning of my one week stay, and Polly made me feel at home. I had meetings at CfA all week, and the observatory is an easy 10 minute walk up Sparks St, even with 3 feet of snow on the ground! Plenty of good coffee and restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
I had a truly wonderful stay at Polly's Riverbend B&B. Polly was very welcoming and made me feel at home. It was quite useful to have the wifi connection and Polly's breakfasts are delicious, hearty and varied. I would immediately recommend this B&B to anyone who needs to stay a few days. Polly is a very nice host and a really lovely person.
The listing was accurate; Polly's house is only 10 minutes from harvard square and the room is beautiful and well equipped. And best of all, Polly is the nicest hostess ever. She made me a scrumptous breakfast both days and went out of her way to make me comfortable. I had such a restful stay!
Polly is a treasure! Her ease as a hostess and interest in genuine give-and-take caused Riverbend to truly feel like a home away from home during my short stay. The third floor bedroom and bath are just as advertised -- private, comfortable, and bright and airy with a wonderful view to the river. I took full advantage of the fact that Riverbend is easy walking distance to Harvard Square with its many coffee shops and restaurants and access to the T. I look forward to a return visit the next time I'm in the Boston area.
Staying at Riverbend Bed & Breakfast was perfect for me. I was more than happy using it as my "home base" during a long weekend in Cambridge. The location is perfect--walking distance to Harvard Square, and bus stops are quite near.
The guest area is on its own floor. The spacious bedroom with its comfortable bed had a stunning view of the Charles River, and having a private bathroom was a treat. The breakfasts were delicious, and I enjoyed visiting with Polly; she was a treasure trove of good information about places to visit in the area as well as current happenings.
I was able to come and go as I pleased and never felt in the way or as if my being there was an inconvenience to the hostess.
This was such a good fit for me that I plan to stay here each time I visit Cambridge.
