I have been living in the Bay Area long enough to call it home--specifically San Francisco and Berkeley. Being vegan, finding places to eat when outside the Bay Area can be tough, so I've ended up finding ways to cook on my own when in less vegan-friendly places. I actually have mostly meat-eating friends, and I don't expect to be catered to. I have an informal background in Chinese Medicine and am studying tai chi, ch'i kung, meditation, and the like. After working for non-profits for years, I now work as a consultant for the State of California, providing benefits and services to those who are in need. I am a non-drinker and non-smoker.
