Im an artist... i travel a lot and rent my place out while im gone... it is my home and it is a special place very close to the beach in the heart of Venice. i enjoy sharing it and my cat is the best hostess :)
Great experiencia with Michaela, very helpful and flexible in everything needed, wonderful locación near the beach and an incredibly well trained Cat. Thank you
Michaela's place was lovely and so close to everything. We had a great valentines stay here. Her cat was a cutie! If your in the mood to stay in Venice and right near everything this is the place to stay.
Michaela proved a delightful and considerate host, and her accommodation was spotlessly clean with a most comfortable bed, including great natural linens. Very comfortable indeed.
The studio style little house is within a small local gated community, with colorful but quiet neighbours , perfectly situated near the beach, and excellent local fresh produce stores and several great restaurants . An offering hard to beat, Which inçludes a welcoming, easy care and friendly cat for the duration of the stay!
I had a really good two week stay at Michaelas. Her bungalow/studio is cosy, charming and secure even without Foxy the cat... Her place and Venice Beach are definitely at the more 'bohemian' end of things, VB is quite hippy-tacky still with quite a few homeless people wandering around. Although in places it is also pretty trendy and up-market, the near by Abbot Kinney Boulevard is very designer-organic. Personally I quite like 'bohemian' but if your idea of a holiday is the Hilton well this may not be your cup of tea. It is great staying so close to the beach, taking Michaela's bike for a spin in the morning up the beach cycle path to Venice Pier and back, or even Santa Monica pier, was amazing. And Venice is pretty near LAX and accessible for other parts of LA. The bungalow does have Pacific Avenue running along one side, by the kitchen/bathroom, which is a fairly busy road, so you get a bit of car 'swoosh' every so often, although it quietens down at night. It didn't bother me, but if you are expecting a sort of completely silent beach retreat for daily meditation this isn't quite it! Having said that otherwise the place was generally peaceful and the ambience was definitely still 'beach side retreat'. Having breakfast on the porch in the morning with blue sky, sun and fresh air was a perfect break from drizzly, cold, January London....
We had a great stay at Michaela's. The bungalow is very close to the beach, restaurants, cafe's and a great bookstore just down the street on the boardwalk…It's a sweet little apartment, with an artistic and creative atmosphere.
This was a wonderful 12 day stay. The apartment is in a fantastic location, seconds from the beach, seconds from evening bars and restaurants, and minutes walk from Abbot Kinney. It is cute inside, spacious for one or two people, and quiet despite its great location. Foxy the cat is adorable and absolutely no effort. Michaela was away, but responsive and a good person. Highly recommended!
I had a wonderful stay at Michaela's (website hidden). I was looking for a private space close to the beach, and Michaela's place was perfect for me. Foxy was a great room mate to have for a few days, I really enjoyed having her company :)
The location is perfect. Close to great restaurants, the beach, Abbot Kinney and public transit if you want to explore other areas of LA.
Michaela's space is very welcoming and peaceful. I felt safe and right at home. Exactly the space I needed.
I would love to stay with Michaela again, and highly recommend her space to other travellers who want to explore Venice.
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
cool place, nice boho style. Foxy the cat is really low maintenance, no need to stress for her!
Location is great, close to the beach but not in the crazy Venice boardwalk action. Walking to Santa Monica was easy.
awesome stay as always!
