I am a full-time teacher of media and foundation arts to high school students in Manhattan, NY. I am also a documentary photographer, and published writer, as well. My interests span across cooking, playing music (guitar, piano, harmonica, banjo), wandering obsessively by foot around New York City, ornithology, paleontology, biology, languages and traveling. Regarding languages, I speak a little French, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, and Hebrew/Yiddish. Admittedly, I often blend the languages into one, and wish I were proficient at just one or two instead.
Thanks to my documentary photography work, I've been very fortunate to travel to China, Mongolia, Tibet, South Korea, Israel, Italy and extensively around my native country. I tend to favor quiet places, authenticity, off-the-beaten track locales, and diverse communities.
I am a non-smoker, very neat, and respectful of my environment, whether at home or home-away-from-home.
I look forward to hearing from you, and wish you well.
