I guess that in addition to the incredible beautiful people you host through airbnb, every once in a while you have a guest like Joe.
In response to his evaluation, I will only transcribe emails written between Joe and I:
With regard to my failure to provide him with the building name in the directions:
The apartment is 10 min ride from the airport. At the airport, go to the taxi counter and get a ticket for the taxi with the price to pay, which shall not be more than USD 10. Give the following indications (instead of the complete address shown in airbnb):
Calle de la Universidad (name of the street)
Edificio Ganem (name of the Building)
For more details you can add that the building is adjacent to the Universidad de Cartagena. It is the only tall building inside the old town. Apartment number is 607..."
Joe cracked the toilet seat and did not tell me, the lady doing the cleaning found out. It was replaced immediately. Then Joe dyed his hair and left hair dye stains in the pillows, pillow cases and pillow cover. I tried to contact him. This was his response:
All is well. The apartment is wonderful. Thank you for replacing the toilet seat. The new one is much better and will not crack so easily. I did have difficulty locating the apartment by taxi. The driver needed to know the name of the building which I finally found in the Airbnb description. I was also not aware that there is no hot water in the shower, but it is not a problem. I will give a excellent review on Airbnb.
I did not charge him for the damages.
When asking for a late check out, Joe wrote:
"My stay at your apartment has been wonderful. I hope to come back again next year. Thanks again for your hospitality.
Regards, Joe Shefchek"
When he delivered the apartment, it was messy and unclean, there were cigarette ashes in the sofa and bed, condom packaging in the floor, the dishes were dirty in the sink, and the TV was not working (the video cable had been pulled out, I found out later).
Then I receive this review. Please make your own conclusions.
