An airy, light, quiet apartment in a great location. Our family stayed for four nights: 2 adults & a 9 & 12 year old and this apartment suited us well. It was clean and well presented, and had all we needed. We watched the New Year fireworks from the balcony. It was a cool retreat on a very hot day. Everything functioned well. An excellent place for a short Melbourne break.
Sophie was really easy to deal with and our stay was fantastic. Perfect for us and our toddler. Great location with lots of interesting places near by. We'd love to stay there again when we're in Melbourne.
Great apartment in an awesome industrial warehouse!
It's walking distance to Smith and Brunswick St with all the cool bars and restaurants, I'd definitely stay there again.
Great location - a hop to Gertrude, Smith and Brunswick street cafes and bars. The key collection was smooth and well organised and parking instructions were very efficient and helpful. The apartment is a small, eclectic and cluttered home, with most things you'll need. But its perhaps best suited to someone travelling with a baby or toddler. It is functional, rather than comfortable, and therefore expensive at around $200 a night. There is indeed a city skyline view tucked away at one end, but unfortunately no-where to sit and enjoy it over a cocktail. However, for those who like to bunk in at a mate's place, and don't mind being surrounded by the food, clothes and clutter of family life - then you might find a certain charm in this funky, inner city pad.
Great apartment centrally located in Fitzroy with easy access to Brunswick St and Smith St tram lines to the city. An easy walk to shopping, cafes and restaurants in Brunswick St and situated in a beautifully restored factory. We especially enjoyed the view of the city from the balcony. Our host was very accommodating and responded quickly to any requests. We traveled as family of 3 with a 7 yr old son and found the 2 bedrooms well suited for our stay.
My wife, 18 month old daughter, and I stayed at Sophie's over Xmas 2013. It was a really nice and funky apartment which was very relaxing. We spent quite a few evenings just relaxing in the flat whilst our data went to bed and it was lovely just to be there. The flat has an awesome view at night and is superbly located. Would definitely stay again if I was back in Melbourne.
Sophie's communication was great. Apartment left very clean. Would not hesitate in welcoming back.
Sophie and her family were fantastic guests. All our pre-stay communication was easy and friendly and they left our home in perfect order on departure. We would be delighted to host Sophie and her family again - anytime.
Sophie, Ben and Family were a pleasure to meet and have as guests at Astoria Park.
Polite and courteous and exemplary of the wonderful French culture they are ambassadors of - it was a delight to enjoy the chats with Sophie about their days exploring the Grampians and hopefully you did manage to spot a koala in the Park.
Sophie is a great communicator and I appreciated knowing their later than usual arrival time.
The cottage was left immaculate -thank you for your consideration in so many ways.
I had no chance to meet her but I know that she was respectful of our house. We had no problems with her and she kept us informed through emails. She enjoyed staying and like being at our house in Sanur.
We have known Sophie and her family for over 7 years. They are the nicest people and will help you make your holiday the best you can have by giving you tips on where cafe to go to, which nice walks yuo can do, what museum to visti etc.
We live in the same neighbourhood and their appartment is brilliant. Beautiful views to the city and very high ceilings in a funky warehouse building. You won't be disapointed if you have the chance to stay there for a few nights.
The appartment is very comfortable and in top condition - very well looked after. I don't think there are more to say about Fitzroy : simply the best place to stay and live when in Melbourne! :)
I have known Sophie for over 5 years now and she has become a close friend. I was lucky to share a beautiful house with Sophie and her partner in Melbourne for almost 2 years. She is a respectful and generous person who is very easy to live with, she always cares for the house and people's belongings. She is an extremely trustful person who I would literally recommend to anyone.
