Elegant, comfortable, bright, spotless, quiet apartment with everything you could possibly need, including lots of good reading lamp and a view of lemon trees. Even the towels were lovely! Chad sent charming, thoughtful, rapid, complete emails; Heather, who handed over the keys, is utterly charming and helpful. For people who don't know the area, they leave lots of (email hidden)d to make you feel at home, they leave a bottle of wine and a generous offer to make use of anything in the fridge. The location? Perfect--as was my weekend. Thanks, Chad and Heather!
This apartment is absolutely amazing!
First off, the place itself is just beautiful - the pictures don't really do it justice! I instantly felt at home. There's lots of light in the apartment, it's very well equiped and did I mention that the place is beautiful!
In terms of location, it's perfectly placed in the Mission - BART is just a couple of blocks away and will get you downtown in no time, so is Dolores park and many great restaurants.
Chad was an incredible host - he was extremely responsive to mail and did everything he could to make me feel comfortable. He left the keys in a convenient location, left guidebooks and a welcome note in the apartment and generally did his best to make sure my stay was wonderful.
I highly recommend this place, I hope it's free next time I'm in SF!
Amazing location, splendid apartment, and all with a host who has the knack to make you feel right at home! Recommend, recommend, recommend!
The place is truly magnificent! It's in a great area, close to everything one needs, and is clean, cute, and comfortable. Chad and Heather were very welcoming and all of their suggestions for things to do around the neighborhood were spot-on. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to feel at home in San Fran.
Awesome apartment and lovely hosts! They had everything I could need and were super accommodating. I love, love, love hotel rooms, so it took me a while to try Air BnB, but I'm so glad I did. Everything was comfortable and being right in the Mission was delightful! I hope to come back again.
The name of Chad's place, 'Best Spot in the Mission', is very accurate!! I walked into the apartment after a six hour drive from LA and was SO relieved to find myself in an extremely cute, clean, spacious, well put together home for the next two weeks. Chad was already overseas by the time I arrived so we communicated easily via email. Any questions I had were answered within hours and Chad was happy for me to extend my stay by a few days. I felt very much at home staying here and was excited to have a fantastic kitchen at my disposal after living out of hotels for weeks on end. Chad's wife, Heather, has provided a VERY detailed guide map on their listing page - USE IT!! I felt very safe in the building and had no worries going out in the area and returning very late at night. Public transport is close by, as are some amazing eateries, a few convenience stores, organic markets, Dolores Park, plenty of bars and, if you come for SF Pride week, lots of fabulous parties and events. Thanks, Chad and Heather!! I had an amazing time in SF and absolutely recommend your place!! It should be listed in the SF highlights section!!!
Chad and Heather and Eleanor were perfect guests. They were friendly, interesting, punctual, communicated well and Eleanor was very personable. They left the house spotless. We would welcome them back anytime.
Chad and his wife were excellent guests. I'd be glad to host them any time.
They displayed an unusual amount of flexibility, in that we were out of town when they arrived, and they offered to make their own bed!
Fortunately, it didn't turn out to be necessary, but we appreciated the thought.
Quiet, tidy couple - guests who were 'only here to sleep' make for another interesting variation on the Airbnb hosting experience!
Would be happy to have you return anytime.
i had the great pleasure of hosting chad's mom while she was in town visiting chad and his new baby girl :) chad arranged the room for his mom with me and since he's practically my neighbor i was glad to help out a fellow host. i'm sure there will be plenty more visits to sf and if i'm not available to host, i would highly recommend chad's mom as a guest :)
Great Guests, just wish we had more time to hang with them.
Looking forward to a return visit
Fantastic to host! Great communication, friendly, and polite. The cottage was super clean and tidy after they checked out. I highly recommend them to anyone considering hosting them Thank you very much for staying with us.
What an upbeat, condiserate and responsive couple! The Thornton's
1) were so great at communicating.
2) left our entire home neat and made sure there was no trash.
3) even did much of the washing which saved us dollars usually spent on cleaners "waiting for the laundry" while reading a book.
What a privilege to have you as our guests!
A hui hou "see you very soon we hope"...
Dear Chad and Heather,
thank you very much for your kindness and your suggestions.
Unfortunately your stay was too short and you couldn’t enjoy the pleasure of nature of Monferrato’s hills.
We hope to have you again.
A dear Greeting
Alessia, Marco, Rebecca and Tommaso
E' stato un piacere avere Chad come ospite e speriamo torni presto a trovarci
Chad and Heather were really nice and considered. A very nice couple, who knows how to be good guests, since they are hosts themselves. Due to our schedules, we didn't got to see each other much, but when we did, I had good chats with them. Totally recommend them!
Chad & Heather's apartment is my home away from home. Their place is inviting and has all of the amenities you could ask for. The location is perfect - it is steps away from delicious restaurants, great stores (where you'll find things you didn't even know you were looking for) and all of the Mission hotspots (Delfina's pizzeria, Dolores Park & Monk's Kettle are my personal favorites). If you're in a lazy mood their couch is the perfect spot to relax, read a book and enjoy the city views.
Chad & Heather are also two of the most delightful people you will ever meet. They are extremely responsible and thorough (just check out the incredible guidebook they put together on their listing). They are the ultimate hosts and will make sure that you enjoy your visit to San Francisco.
