Hi, I'm Stephanie! I'm a digital product exec at a big Bay Area tech company. I'm a former State Dept brat, so I grew up abroad (mostly in the Middle East and Europe) with Washington DC as our "home base." I currently reside in NYC and LOVE it, although I travel to the Bay Area so often for work, I am pretty much bi-coastal.
As a result of this bi-coastal life, my apt is frequently available for travelers to AirBnB. I place an emphasis on safety and cleanliness for myself as a host and from my travelers, since these are the most important things to me as a traveler. I make myself fully available to guests during their stay, but allow the guest to determine our level of interaction. I enjoy being a good host, so if you're looking for a place in Manhattan, come stay chez Stephanie!
Despite the frequent red-eyes to and fro the Bay Area, I still try to travel to a new place at least once every three months or so. Whether it's just a road trip to Philly or a flight to Fiji, I believe it is important to get out of your comfort zone and do something new as often as possible. My travel MO is to "live like a local," so I always appreciate tips and tricks from my host(s). I'm more the type to get a boisson from the local bouvette than to join the Mona Lisa gawkers. Regardless of where I am, I like to experience new things -- but isn't that the point of travel?
