I love meeting new people and learning about other cultures. It's always to fascinating to hear other's stories and excite me for more adventures!
My friends would most likely describe me as mature, practical, yet spontaneous. People normally trust me not to do something stupid or make ridiculous impulse decisions. There's something about travelling that flips that around where I make spontaneous moves and disregards warnings to take that road less taken. I'm a relatively sarcastic person so I may not appear as a giggly person who laughs all the time. If you get my humor, I'll promise to give you a good chuckle or two.
I caught my travel bug through my first study abroad experience in Hong Kong during Spring 2012 where I explored China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. Speaking to people from different cultural upbringings is such a wonderful way to draw the world closer together. Actually, I learn (or rather realize) a lot more about my own heritage when talking to others. I was fortunate enough to be selected by my company to work in Rio de Janiero for the Summer 2013. I had an amazing time with my lovely Brazilians ;).
I'm currently studying in Copenhagen for a semester and is looking forward to learning more about the different European countries! This is my first time in Europe and I'm overwhelmed with the number of places I want to visit. I approach each country with a mentality of 'living like a local'. I want to explore the tourist attractions, but also get a taste of the local cultures.
