Response from Genevieve:
In John's defense, I think he is new to AirBnB - I think my home was his first time staying in a private residence rather than opting for a hotel. So he's learning the ropes. However, I do dare say that it seems John is interested in hurting my personal feelings as well as hurting my AirBnB listing's feelings. Boo. In going along with this review process, I offer my retort. ■ I messaged John twice to discuss the one concern he shared with my housekeeping helper - that there weren't enough hand towels or wash cloths - and I asked him to please let me know if there were other concerns. This review is the first I've heard from him since. ■ About the chairs. I don't have any art installations in my home. I do have 2 old wooden chairs in the living room next to my 2 couches. I find them charming. ■ My house has old + stained tile, tubs, and flooring. My neighbor and I share the task of cleaning them before every rental. So I can agree with John, they do appear dirty. But alas, they are not. ■ I don't have bedside tables. I use the window ledge in one bedroom. And I use my grandmother's old green suitcase in the other bedroom. ■ I do ask my guests to take their trash out to the bin on the side street beside my house. Referring to a "neighborhood dump and recycling center" is John's invention. ■ Thanks for reading this far! Cheers + peace + love + everything to everybody!
