Great house that is exactly as described. We liked it so much we booked a second night. Burnsville is a cool town. Go to SnapDragon for a cool garage bar experience.
The view was wonderful. We were able to take some excellent photos from the cabin. Our week ended up being a simple, quiet experience. Burnsville is a small town with just what you need. It was easy to detach from technology and the hustle of urban life out there. We were able to go zip lining, go to Asheville for a beer, and check out Mount Mitchell, all of which was about a 45 minute gorgeous mountain drive away. If you are out to relax, enjoy nature, and enjoy the company of a loved one, this is a great place to stay.
This was my first AirBnB experience. My girlfriend and I were very pleased with our stay at Valeree's home in Burnsville. Both bedrooms, the living room, the kitchen, the bathroom, washroom and front & back porches were clean. The master bed slept like a dream. The shower had great water pressure and there was plenty of warm water. My girlfriend loved that there was Meyer's soap at each sink. The home was an easy find using GPS. Burnsville was a perfect getaway spot and we had everything we needed just down the road. Unfortunately it was pretty cold while we were there, but I can imagine the back deck setup allows for many good times when it is warm. My only complaint is that compared to the description from the listing, the sunsets we saw left something to be desired. Even without a sunset, there are other scenic views to be taken in from the back deck.
For anyone considering a booking: There is a very well-stocked grocery just a few minutes from her home called Ingles. Definitely go to her home first and pick up the discount card next to her display of teas and coffees. Ye Olde Country Store on South main was a neat shop with lots of Amish products. I recommend visiting Mt Mitchell & Crabtree falls. The split for each is 30-45 min from the home. From there. The summit is 16 miles to your left and Crabtree falls is 4 miles to your right.
Thank you for sharing your home with us, Valeree!
Great little place in the mountains, perfect for a day in Asheville and a couple days of hiking. Valeree was in contact to make sure we had everything we needed.
Yes, it was great, surroundings so beautiful.
This cabin is wonderful! The surrounding mountains are gorgeous and the house itself is well equipped- pots and pans for the kitchen, lots of coffee and even an HDMI cord for the TV. Valeree was a great host and we would definitely stay here again!
A nice quiet place that is not far from shopping and dining spots.
You can tell that Valeree takes pride in her little place and is working hard to make it even better.
Great time in the cabin :)
Such a great place - highly reccomended.
This little gem was all we expected and more! The cabin was a perfect weekend getaway from the world but not too far from the necessities. The host had the house stocked with coffee, spices, pots, pans, ample towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a little book of things to do. We also were thrilled there was a DVD player in the master bedroom. The view while you ate at the table in the living room was a perfect setting for a romantic candle light dinner. Wish we would have been able to enjoy the pretty deck and grill but 4 degree weather prevented that. The hostess was very responsive and easy to communicate with about any issues. The town of Burnsville itself was nice and quaint. There was a great little massage studio, drive-in for local ice cream, and Ingles had a great selection of all fresh produce, seafood, and meat. Overall, it was a wonderful place that we really enjoyed. We can't wait to come back here in the summer and explore the waterfalls in the area!!!
