Our party of 8 enjoyed staying at this lovely place. I love the fact that it was within walking distance to the Marina, where I walked every morning. My brother-in-law commented that it’s a quaint little community that is beautiful on the outside and cozy on the inside. We had our Thanksgiving as well as a first birthday party for the newest member of our family. The open Kitchen was spacious with a breakfast nook. The Living/Dining Room with a nice table accommodated nearly 20. I will definitely stay at this home again next time we visit.
Our first experience with Airbnb, so we were a little nervous. Simon was very friendly and made our extended family of six comfortable and our stay enjoyable. He even asked beforehand what the bed arrangements should be (which singles/double in which room). When our family-sized SUV did not fit next to his car in the double garage, he offered to move his car and did so the next day.
Our adult kids liked the casual nature of a home so they could more easily visit their aunt and uncle.
I'd invite Simon's family to visit ours in Washington, DC anytime.
First time with Airbnb and this was definitely a great experience. This house was very cozy and had a homey feeling. Me and my 7 friends enjoyed every part of it and wish we actually lived there! Staying at this home was definitely one of the highlights on this trip.
Would recommend to anyone who is going to San Francisco! A+++++++++++!
we had a wonderful time in this house. not far away from berkley, good to explore san francisco and the northern parts of the bay area. it is necessary to have a car for going shopping to the supermarket. we enjoyed our stay there and would love to come back.
We really enjoyed our stay! The house is - as described - a cute home in a very quiet community right next to the waterfront. It is clean and well equipped. Jasmine, Simon and Milo are very nice people who took great care that we had everything we needed. They also left very detailed and usefull informations about the house and the surroundings. They are very commuicative and responded quickly whenever there was a question. For us this was the perfect base from which to explore the bay area and we would stay there again anytime.
Simon was a great host! He contacted me to check and to accommodate us on arriving time. The House was nice and modern with all things we need and more, he was very generous to offer us to help ourselves to their fridge and all things in the house, even his computer, which we didn't use since I had my own. He was very attentive to teach me around SF and places to go and places to avoid. Very very friendly!
My mom wasn't super happy about the stairs, but everybody else didn't mind. Also the Tv was a bit hard to get it to work.
I'd recommend staying there if you don't mind not staying in SF Thanks Simon for the stay, we enjoy ourselves a lot!
What a great house! The hosts were extremely gracious and left the house clean and with many available amenities. Full kitchen with all your typical accoutrements, adorable patio with a useable firepit, a (large) bicycle available, super comfy and large bed, a day bed for a guest in a room that can be turned into a private guest room at night, and a great media system that allowed us to play music and watch movies on the big screen. The location is wonderful, very close to tons of restaurants, shops, stores, BART, and the convenient 51 bus. A great neighborhood for walking around in with lovely houses and guardens.
The house is actually a duplex but the living areas are on opposite sides from the adjoining, and I never saw or heard the neighbors. Very cute typical 1920s California craftsman style.
Simon was gracious guest. He and his girlfriend Jasmine took really great care of the place and were very respectful of my home. I would highly recommend them as guests and would gladly have them back again.
