A pleasant and comfortable spot with a nice view. No air conditioning and not breezy either, so bear this in mind if you are going in the heat of summer. Cancellation policy is super strict too, so read this carefully. That aside, a good hideaway for couples who want to be away from Waikiki and don't need to be close to a beach.
Very spacious apartment, looks just like the pictures. Worth it for the view alone! Very handy to get to Kailua and the surrounding beaches.
Nick's place was great - just as described and with an amazing view! I had a lot of my own plans whilst there so I didn't see Nick much, but everything I needed was already there - definitely recommend your own transport if staying in this area - not too much within walking distance.
Breakfast on this deck every morning made our vacation a little more wonderful! Even on a hot day without air conditioning, the hilltop location and tradewinds made the evenings very comfortable. The apartment was well appointed, and Nick responded to an unexpected gas outage with speed and aloha! The location was great. We had a fantastic time there, and hope to return someday.
Beautiful view and well maintained property. The room was spacious and practical but was hot as there is very little opportunity for cross breeze on the hillside unit. The spot was perfect for unforgettable sunsets and an incredible view of the entire bay and peninsula and the social area is great to kick back and enjoy a beer. Finding it was easy and the parking was ample. Aside from the other groups staying at the property (there are up to two others in the same building) it feels very private and isolated since you are on the side of the hill. There is a ton (and I mean a ton!) of great sports gear like Kayaks, boogie boards, surf boards, snorkles coolers, chairs etc for the beach. Having laundry on site is great but its $1 in quarters per load and others share the units. It is run like a hotel which I don't say as a good or bad thing. Expect a bit more rigid interaction than other B & Bs (based on our experience) though. There are also a number or rules to go along with this so if you are a party group be mindful of the early quiet hours.
A great stay at "Guest House One Bedroom"...!!!
Exactly what we were looking for on Oahu.
Awesome view of Kaneohe bay. We spent almost all our time, while home, sitting on the Lanai enjoying the trade winds and view.
Who needs Waikiki hotel rooms when you can stay at a place like this. It felt just like going "home"....
All the ocean toys you could want (No need to rent Kayak's etc)
Bed was comfortable and the whole apt. was clean and neat.
Made a quick run to the grocery store and we "moved right in"
You save a bunch compared to Waikiki hotels.
No having to eat a $30/day breakfast buffet or drink expensive beers from the hotel. Not to mention the $20/day parking fee for your rental car.
The nights are quiet and relaxing, and waking to the sound of birds every morning started every day off great.
Stay on "God's side of the Island" and know what living in the islands is really like.
Can't wait for our next trip home.
We absolutely LOVED the guest house! So open to the amazing breezes, and yet so private! So cozy, we instantly felt at home. This booking made our vacation. Thank you!
Nick was great and very responsive. The condo was exactly like the pictures, and the neighborhood was lovely, convenient to beaches, shopping, etc.
Nick was quick to respond the couple times we needed him. The studio was what we expected and worked well for my family.
