First let me say that I am a quiet, clean person who will respect your property. I enjoy the adventure of a road trip, which is why my "fun vehicle" is a 1985 VW Vanagon. I like to take a walk on the beach, enjoy a cup of coffee at a funky roadside cafe, check out some local antique shop or art gallery, hike through an old growth forest, sit on a porch and read, poke through old cemeteries, and photograph wildflowers and tadpoles. When I travel, I tend to gravitate towards local bookstores, areas of historical interest, and scenic hiking trails. My life motto? I guess it would be "Enjoy the journey. And appreciate kindness whereever you find it."
In my working life, I am a teacher. Travel broadens my worldview and enhances what I can bring to the classroom. I try to model for my students that life is an adventure. It is there to enjoy.
I look forward to meeting others and to "talking story" whenever I can. Scenic beauty may be what makes travel so alluring, but it is the people who inhabit these places that really sweeten the experience.
