Hey, I'm Kathrin!
We live in SF but travel often so this seems like a wonderful way to share a great apartment that sits empty sometimes. It's a great space in a really fun neighborhood.
Kathrin's lovely apartment was perfect for our five-day stay in San Francisco. It is in walking distance to the marina, the art palace, Chestnut's restaurants and shops. Most importantly it is only a few blocks from our son's place! Kathrin was a gracious hostess, leaving us coffee, tea, and fresh fruit! Her apartment is charming with lots of interesting touches . . . the art, the chalkboard kitchen, the patio and all in a safe and quiet neighborhood.
My fiancee and I had a wonderful time "living" in Kathrin's place for 2 weeks. Kathrin has done such amazing things with the place from the art to the meditation room to the chalkboard kitchen and gorgeous green patio (I was very inspired). Beyond this, the location is great. The Palace of Fine Arts is literally in her backyard and it's breathtaking at night. Every night we picked a different local restaurant to eat at (within blocks of the house), and it was super easy to get around the city by foot, public transit, and car.
Kathrin was also a wonderful host! She was very accommodating, very responsive (even from abroad), and left us yummy chocolates. Her home, and she as a person, just have a very lovely karma about them.
This lovely apartment was perfect for our three-day stay in S.F. Walking distance to the marina, Chestnut's restaurants and shops, and many bus routes. Kathrin was a gracious hostess, leaving us coffee, tea, and fresh fruit! We slept soundly in the comfortable queen-size bed, and the small patio and bright living room were inviting and relaxing. The apartment and neighborhood were quiet and safe and delightful to walk around day or night. We will return!
Kathrin was an amazing host who thought of everything and made me feel so welcome! When I arrived there was a map, some treats after my flight, and an email outlining all that I needed to know.
I can't say enough about the funky apartment with beautiful art, great space, and a warm feel to it. Lots of open air, windows, an adorable patio, and the most comfortable bed. It's in a safe area of San Francisco and I walked to the beach to take photos of Golden Gate bridge every morning. Nearby are great shopping areas of Chestnut street, Union, and Fillmore with a bus stop right outside!
Her home was so great, one of my best nights was just drinking wine on her lovely couch, reading one of her many great books, and eating pizza I made in the kitchen. If you're lucky enough to stay at Kathrin's - you won't be disappointed. I honestly can't wait to go back and wouldn't stay anywhere else!
Kathrin's apartment is lovely, and she is an excellent host. The apartment's location in in SF couldn't be better, and the accommodations were well-appointed and cozy to make for a comfortable San Francisco stay. Coordinating arrangements with Kathrin was easy, with timely responses. The apartment's plant-filled outdoor deck is a fantastic spot to relax on after a day of taking in the sights.
I stayed in Kathrin's apartment recently on my first ever trip to San Francisco. It is an absolutley gorgeous apartment, I have to say I fell in love. The location is fantastic especially being on my own for a few days, it was so close to transport, Chestnut street which full of amazing cafes, restaurants and wine bars as well has ample shopping. Also - the apartment felt very safe at all times, its in a lovely safe neighbourhood with the right amount of security in the building.
Apart from the amazing apartment and brilliant location, Kathrin was an amazing host. From the moment of first contact she has been so helpful, lovely and really easy to stay in touch with - I can honestly say it was a seamless experience.
I would recommend Kathrin and her gorgeous apartment to anyone! I'll definatley stay there again.
Kathrin is a wonderful hostess with a huge heart and has a beautiful home to use as a base for exploring San Francisco. You just can't beat the Marina District for a welcoming, upbeat and friendly place to start your Bay Area adventure.
