Sophiana and Michael were very welcoming, and we loved their warehouse music set-up. We were visiting for Splendour in the Grass and the funky caravan was perfect for our needs. Bit of a long walk to town but there are also infrequent buses or bikes to borrow from Sophiana. The arts and industry estate is quite cool with an IGA close by and the Stone and Wood brewery where we stopped in for a tasting paddle. Biggest thanks!
Sophiana was a welcoming host who made the effort to present the bus in a clean and tidy manner. We stayed in the biggest bus and it was better then I expected! She gave us musli for breakfast along with tea and milk and the bus really had everything you could need including a mini fridge! The bathroom was a little while away and was communal to the other busses as well but I'd say that was only a problem because we stayed there at a busy time (splendour in the grass). Other then that it had good wifi and the area was nice and quite! It was a good experience overall :)
I felt most welcome and safe during my stay. It was ideally located and nice and quiet. I would highly recommend this accommodation to others who are comfortable with the basics and who like their independence. A good experience overall and one I would not hesitate to repeat! Close to a beautiful beach, shops and lots of creative activities.
We found the bus really lovely to stay in. It's in a nice section of Byron that's not gentrified, it's surrounded by lovely bakeries and art studios. Sophiana is a warm host and made us feel very welcome. We will be coming back.
Such a fantastic stay with Mike and Sophiana! Amazing conversations and stories as well as a charming and surreal setting.
Sophiana was very nice and accommodating. The bus is a unique experience and was definitely a lot of fun. It's a bit far away from downtown, but still a great time because there's small beautiful beach close by.
Awesome stay, really friendly and welcoming. Will go back and stay next time I am in Byron.
A unique experience at Australia's most easterly point, Byron Bay. We stayed two nights in the bus and saved some money by shopping at the the local IGA and using the outside cooking area for our meals.
Very comfortable stay and slept extremely well. Brilliant hosts, very helpful and always on hand for help if needed, even waited for me the first night outside just in case I got lost. Everything was ready, internet code, clean towels, milk, tea, coffee etc, and the bed made with fresh linen and a great shower/bathroom - what more can I say...
We actually ended up getting upgraded to the bigger caravan as there was no one else booked in over the weekend.
The caravan was cosy and 'quirkly' awesome, really nice couple retreat. It had everything we needed.
Really great vibes, we were made to feel very welcome by Sophiana and her partner who are both very chill musicians (you can often hear the sounds of them practicing in their music space across from the caravan.
The area was only about a 30-40 min walk from town, or super close to a taxi rank which doesn't cost much to get into to.
But in the immediate area there was some cool stores, an IGA and it wasn't a far walk to the beach either.
We had a really great experience staying here, and our hosts were a great help for advice and just general conversation, will def come stay here again next time we are in Byron.
