Monica was extremely helpful and available both before we arrived and after we had settled in the flat - we thought we had a problem with the front door lock and Monica offered to visit to sort it out; luckily we found the knack of locking / unlocking the door without Monica's help.
The flat was very relaxing, beautifully placed for the city centre, and also very quiet. The high ceilings and window positions (allowing a through breeze) helped to cool the flat.
We found many interesting bars and restaurants in the immediate area - elsewhere, for us, nothing was too far to walk, including the Boboli Gardens, Palazzo Pitti, both only minutes away.
Good appartement at a good location. Bedroom is on the quite backside of the appartement, which is very relaxed. Shower is good and hot but unhandy located in the bathroom, like others already have mentioned. We had a great stay. Thanks Monica!
Monica was very good staying in contact prior
To our visit. Instructions were very clear about issues
Inside the house. We did have to ask a neighbor
About the exact location. Location was perfect! Easy
To walk anywhere in Florence. Street was out of the way
Enough to be quiet at night. Was comfy. Master bed was very
Good. Dining chairs needed some fixing. Would go back
Very well located, nice appartment in Florence, clean and bright; not seen Monica but she sent us the keys before.
However as some other said the door is very hard to open and especially to close and I almost thought I couldn't close it one or two times. I came with my mom who is 72 and alone she could not manage it at all... also the shower is OK but 15mn of cleaning the bathroom after each one isn't a great time when on holidays.
And even if it wasn't mentionned I missed a teapot, an electric kettle, a bigger coffeemaker, toaster and all the little things to make a good breakfast as I think airbnb is based on bed and breakfast, no micro wave, no owen, no TV no Wifi no radio as we chose an appartment also not to be always outside as tired of many walks during the day. Well maybe I'm asking too much for my first travel with airbnb and maybe I'm not on ther right spirit but all these things I have it myself and offer it to the people coming at our place, so... anyway it was good to have the heat as the weather was kind of cold and wet.
The street is kind of noisy with a restaurant just in front on the early evening but OK later at night
Monica's apartment is lovely and the location is absolutely wonderful. Monica was easy to communicate with and was very responsive. Thank you, Monica! Our stay in Florence was fantastic.
Monica was an incredibly sweet host. She left us breakfast and tea, and when she found out there would be some construction outside the house, she even gave us a bottle of wine. The apartment itself was clean and beautifully decorated. The shower wasn't ideal, as others have mentioned, but the apartment, location, and host more than make up for it.
This apartment was a great location, walk-able distance to the city centre and all the main sites, however in an area where you felt a connection with the daily lives of the local people. The apartment had a comfortable bed, kept cool in the warm days and had a fully equipped kitchen (and a supermaket round the corner). Would recommend to anyone who wants a taste of tuscan life. Thank you Monica for the lovely stay.
Nice authentic place in the center of Florence, spacious, shower ok (just unusual), but clean. If you come in the summer (email hidden) ...
A presto, Monica!
Monica is a great guest, very approachable, clean and always with smile. It was great hosting her.
really nice and quiet guest. We would totally recommend her
Monica was a very pleasant and positive guest! Unfortunately I only met her on her first day of her stay, because I left the town!
Always with pleasure my guest again!
She's great and full of life. We' ll see her soon, we're sure.
Monica is a very lovely and friendly guest who respects people's possessions and cleans up after herself - in fact she even cleaned some of my dishes :) highly recommended!
Very nice guest! Always Welcome!
The first thing I noticed about Monica was her big head of hair and fashion sense (she is Italian, after all). It was one of my briefest encounters with a guest as she indicated that she comes to Berlin all the time and thus needed no city guidance. She was out and about most of the time and that well beyond the wee hours. I just found cooking traces once (food and fashion - as I said she is Italian) a sign that she had been in. She is friendly and self-sufficient, hosting her a piece of cake.
