I'm a writer/musician, both painfully amateur. I like drinking tea while watching the rain, perfectly ensconced inside, mind you. I love my city, and want to share it with other travelers.

Rachel was a wonderful host and has a nice little place in Nelson. Very good value for what she charges and we enjoyed staying there. Probably a better fit for younger travellers than for a couple of old goats like us, but it was a great experience. Her place is on a busy street but it was very quiet at night, the bed was very comfy and we had some great sleeps. Thanks Rachel!
We were looking for a lower-cost place to sleep between skiing and visiting in Nelson, and this was a great option. It's an easy five minute walk to the WhiteWater shuttle and ten minute walk downtown. Rachel and her roommate were friendly when we (rarely) crossed paths in the shared kitchen or living room, but definitely not intrusive.
We had a very pleasant stay will Rachel! She was most welcoming by ensuring we were able to find her home once in Nelson and then by providing all the ins and outs of her beautiful heritage home. The room was large, clean and well furnished and sat at the back of the hallway, adjacent the shared bathroom. The room comes with its own back entrance, which was handy although not necessary as we felt most at home and welcome to enter and leave from the front door. Her housemate was very quiet and considerate. I loved the well equipped kitchen and access to condiments. A great place to stay. Home away from home.
Rachel was a friendly and generous host. The room was comfortable and in a great location, walkable to key Nelson spots. I enjoyed my time.
We spent a really great time in Nelson BC and enjoyed the ski at Whitewater !
Rachel's place is super nice with everything you need ! And its location is a strong asset : 7 min walking to the city centre, 3 min walking to the greyhound station, the biggest grocery stores in town and the shuttle stop for the Whitewater resort !
Plus, Rachel and her family are friendly and easy-going ! A really great place to stay in Nelson, especially if you have no car !

Nice stay with nice family. Nelson is a fantastic place and Rachel's house is a close walk to the Kootney Boundary Hospital, which was ideal for me.
Rachel was a delight to have in my home. I hope she enjoyed a little of what Charlotte had to offer. Safe travels!
