Luis' apartment is lovely and much larger than the pictures indicate. The living room and master bedroom have excellent, quiet air conditioning and the smaller rooms are much larger than you'd expect.
We chose this apartment in part due to the gorgeous photos, but they really don't do the apartment justice at all. There are two large terraces, one on each end of the apartment. The kitchen is very nice, with a modern refrigerator, induction cooking top, oven, microwave, dishwasher and everything you might need, from plates and cutlery to pots and pans. There's also a washing machine, a huge boon you're staying for a while.
The rest of the amenities and details are great too. We've just redecorated our house and I liked many of the little touches in the apartment such as two bathtubs, good lighting, electric shutters, great stone floors, lots of closet space and a beautiful living room. Our kids also loved the toys that Luis had made available for us, a whole little play kitchen set up on the northern balcony.
The place is quiet – no noisy neighbors. It's safe and secure – we left our stroller on the ground floor next to the elevator at Luis' suggestion. Never had a problem.
The pool in the back yard is great and the grounds around it well-kept. Only one neighbor used it while we spent a week there, so we felt as if we had our own pool.
There's a parking spot available in the garage, which is both secure and cool, so you don't have to sit down in a near-molten car, and access is easy via a remote that Luis provides.
Luis supplied us with maps and brochures for local and day-trip attractions. There's wifi in the apartment, remember to get Luis to help you access it when you arrive, and you'll save lots on international data roaming charges.
We experienced Sitges as a walkable, friendly, safe and lovely city. The apartment is right on the outskirts of the center of town, with lots of shops and restaurants right around the corner, but few tourists loitering about "our" corner. From the terrace you have a view of the sea and front-row seats to beautiful sunsets.
It takes just five minutes to walk from the front door to the beach. This is incredibly practical if you're staying there with kids. We didn't get to know the neighbors since we don't speak Spanish, but everyone was pleasant, welcoming and helpful – holding doors open, asking us if we needed help, etc.
All in all a great place. If you want your vacation to be relaxing and the place you're staying at to be cut above the rest, you've found it. We look forward to staying here again!
