This farm has been in the family for 65 years. I grew up here, spent 35 adult working years in Los Angeles and New York, and returned home to Humboldt County when I inherited the farm. I work full-time as a documentary filmmaker, editor, and writer; John, my husband, is a handyman (both at home and for others). We have two dogs--an aging Australian shepherd named Frank, and Tickie, a recently "widowed" adult Dachshund-mix. If the bobcat doesn't visit for a while, we're able to keep chickens (currently 3) that provide fresh eggs for breakfast. We are both enthusiastic cooks, and there is usually fresh bread and lots of veggies.
