Excellent stay at a excellent location. Stores and downtown nearby and we love Andrea's Seafood in the Harbor Shops (although the price has gone up like everything in Calif.) Pete was accommodating and the boat was clean. We would use again and again if we didn't live 17 hrs away.

All was great! Thanks Pete!
Husband and I came here for our two year anniversary. I planned the trip as a surprise and it was totally unexpected for him. We rented bikes, went up and down the coast to some wineries and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Pete gave some great ideas for things we could do while in town and he has a little book he leaves on the boat for local activities, just like a hotel.
Overall the trip was a success. Ventura is such a sleepy little town and you'd swear everyone knows everyone. Makes for a really nice break from big city stresses! Highly recommend ;)
Pete was prompt and precise. The boat and conditions were exactly as described. The location was beautiful and an easy walk to Ventura Harbor restaurants and cafes. A very enjoyable experience!
Great host, awesome location, and a cool setting. Green herons, great blue herons, cormorants, black-capped night herons and seals hang out at the marina. Would recommend!
Pete was a great patient host and was very flexable with our arrival time. It was much appreciated! Everything was as expected from his listing. Thanks Pete! I'm looking forward to staying aboarf the Freedom again in the future.
What a great boat and experience! Pete was very kind and everything was laid out and explained very well. I will def be coming back!!
I have "messed about in boats some" so if you have not, let me give you a blow by blow: One passes through a keyed gate and down the ramp - which moves with the tide so the lower the tide the steeper the grade - hence non skid soles (why they're called dockers). To board Freedom involves 3 steps (which may be covered in dew) and the agility to clear the safety line; then 3 steps to below decks. Reverse the procedure for the shower house which is also the restroom.
Now, if you are not in favor of doubling your vacation costs by those pesky car rental rates, as a fan of public transit let me say - I doesn't get much better 'n this! Step off the Amtrak, call the Trolley, and take a FREE ride to the Harbor; or stop midway to pick up supplies at the Market and re catch the ...did I say FREE...Trolley. Once Pete meets 'n Greets you, stow your gear 'n hop the Trolley again to the end of Spinnaker to the must see National Park Visitor Center and kayaking and whale watching and food 'n beverage. Go no further if you desire, the view is great and the company is Heron, Egret, Pelican and Sealion. Thumbs up (website hidden) rumor has it the "boatel" competition is $250/nite! Need I say more?
