Really cute, clean, and comfortable space with lots of natural light through the windows and balcony! The place came with EVERYTHING we needed (even kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies, and plastic baggies!) which was a nice bonus. Love that there's an in-suite washer/ dryer, as well as a pool and gym downstairs. If you want to use the TV, bring your own laptop/ HDMI cable or DVD player. The WiFi was spotty at first, but by just unplugging the router (located behind the couch) and plugging it back in, it worked perfectly. The host and family are really sweet and very helpful, if you have any concerns they will do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

First off it was great staying here Ry Barry was awesome at keeping communications open. If i had sent a text or email it was answered propmtly. The unit with clean with lots of cleaning products. Checking out he was very reasonable and flexible although the unit was a little bit small it was in a great location a vibrant surrounding of people and families. I would recommend this place for any single person or couples . Be sure to try out the Jamaican restaurant in the area right on king by the Burger King they got tasty Jerk Chicken.
Great area, very close to the shops, restaurants and other amenities of Liberty Village. Transit is close. Building itself is fairly new and well kept. The unit is pretty small but ok for one or two, I didn't do any cooking so I'm not sure what there is for pots and pans but there were plates and glasses cutlery etc., again enough for two. My biggest problem was the couch, it's unusable, I've never sat on anything so uncomfortable, it needs to be changed asap, it was so bad I moved the TV into the bedroom and didn't even use it. Other problem is the TV, there is no cable or antenna so it's not usable either, I brought my own AppleTV so I had something to watch, I'd like to see the host purchase one for guest to use, AppleTV or Roku or even just add an over the air antenna, there are lots of channels on the air in Toronto. Pillows could be better, bed itself was ok. Only enough towels for one. Check in/out quick and easy, visitor parking supplied. I was there on a weekend and there were multiple loud gatherings going on in the building, nothing too crazy but something to note, it was quiet after dark.
Great place, clean and Ry was really helpful.
The stay was good. Great place for a long stay like mine, or even for a short term, it's awesome. Three grocery stores very close, fast food and also a whole bunch of shops just a walk to Queen Street. As well as 24 hour street car access from Queen. Space was smaller, but great for one or two people. It was winter but the balcony is huge and would have been used a lot more if warmer weather. View of CN Tower and Toronto skyline really makes it feel more Toronto like.
Would rent again most definitely
thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this apartment. Communication with Ry was very efficient and helpful. Everything was in working order and the apartment was clean.
This apartment is conveniently located between two grocery stores, Umar (Ry's husband) was kind enough to show me where the Metro supermarket was when I first arrived. I was able to easily navigate around the downtown core due to the easily accessible TTC links less than a minutes walk from the apartment. Downtown by streetcar/bus is approx. 10/15 mins away. One occassion I walked which took me 30/45 mins
This apartment is perfect for one or two people, I would definitely recommend Ry's apartment for anyone travelling to Toronto you will not be disappointed.
Ry and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. A friend and I needed a place to stay just for a night after a party and it was the perfect location, just minutes away from several streetcar and bus routes.
The apartment itself is more than enough for 2 people and is very clean and comfortable. And the bed was really comfy, which is important as I have a bad back. There were even some bath products under the sink which was really helpful as we both had forgotten to bring toothpaste! There is a pair of small speakers, which was a nice touch, to hook up your iPod or other device to play some music while hanging around.
My only complaint is that the air was extremely dry at night and I had to get up a couple times in the night to get a drink of water and apply cream to my hands as they felt cracked and raw. I do have dry skin in general so this may not apply to everyone, but it did make for a less than perfect sleep.
Overall, I had a very nice little stay. It may seem a little bare or sterile for someone who is staying for longer periods of time, but very livable, quiet, and clean.
Perfect! The location was brilliant. Close to all of the cities amenities and a short distance to Billy Bishop Airport. Ry is a lovely host. She is very accommodating and extremely helpful. The apartment was very clean. It's very cozy and well decorated. I couldn't have asked for more. I would stay at Ry's place again in a heart beat. Would highly recommend her place to anyone planning to travel to Toronto.
Ry was really flexible and accommodating in meeting us later than usual and getting us oriented upon arrival.
I was slightly surprised to see how tiny this apartment really was. The photos don't let you know the sofa (shown) is facing the one wall of kitchen appliances. These two rather large blocks of furniture flank the walls on either side of the patio doors in kitchen. The bedroom is full with a bed, small desk and large wardrobe in front of the window. It was very clean but stark. (No art on walls definitely not someone's apartment).
Very conveniently located between Queen and King close to Liberty Village where my brother lives, so that was great.
Probably great for a single person!
We also had problems with the wifi, Ry was super nice and stayed to get it hooked up (had to turn off/on the rotor a couple times and then it worked). But it went down again overnight and we never managed to get it working again. I tried the same m.o. that Ry had employed the night before to no avail. And I admit I did not call her to ask her to come back to try again.
She was very nice and, again, super accommodating, coming to my brother's apt to pick up her keys! All in all it was a positive...but be aware of the size!
