I´m originally from Woking, Surrey, England. I spent most of my life, from the age of 16, in the Royal Air Force working as an anaesthetic technician in hospitals around the world as well as seeing action with a Field Surgical Team. During that time, I was also the medic on the Near Est Parachute Rescue Static and freefall teams.. In 1976 I was commisioned and held various medical posts before taking up an instructors post at the RAF College Cranwell. In 1983, whilst serving as OC the special course, I suffered a post operative Cerebral Vascular accident, which hospitalised mr for 3 years before I was invalided out of the RAF. I then made a new career in Local Government as an Emergency Planning Officer in which I devised and wrote plans for Nuclear War, Radiation Safety, Major Mortuary Procedure, Flooding and Rabies. During this time I also served as a Magistrate on the Cheshire Bench, sitting in all levels of courts. Whilst working in Cheshire, I owned a 400 year old converted Welsh Long Barn and land on which I bred Ostriches. I have travelled all over the world, and particularly like the culture of the Far Eastern countries. My wife is Chinese and we try to spend our time between our homes in Torrevieja,Costa Blanca(where I have lived since 2,000) and Chengdu, Sichuan, China. I love travelling and meeting the local people to understand their cultures and taste their foods. I hate lazing on the beach or lazing about generally . I am currently trying to improve my Spanish and learn Mandarin Chinese. My motto is ´Winners never quit, quitters never win.
