We've spent a wonderful week in Paris in the studio. It is very cosy and perfect for a short stay. Nice location is beneficial. Everything was functioning, there was everything we needed in the kitchen. Paul&Alex met us upon our arrival, showed us the place, they were really helpful and kind.
Nous avons été super bien accueillis par Alex. Le studio est très bien situé (rue très calme, à deux pas d'une station de métro) et très propre.
Nous avons passé un w-e très agréable.
Once again, a perfect stay in the perfect flat. The sushi restaurant around the corner does really good sushi ;) and we can recommend a nice walk down to République if the weather's good. As well as, obviously, wandering around the cemetery.
Paul and Alex were in close communication before and throughout our stay. We received a very warm welcome when we arrived from their close friend Ophelie with the French "la bise" - a kiss on each cheek. Paul and Alex supplied us with an abundance of basic necessities such as dish towels, bath towels, toilette paper, blow dryer, toothpaste, toothbrushes and the works. There was even tea and a few dry goods left which we readily used. There were plenty of dishes to cook and serve "les tartines" - bread and jam - every morning. When we didn't have a baguette to bring home, we bought pastries ("les viennoiseries") from the nearby boulangerie and coffee to go ("a emporter") from the cafe next door to it. The apartment is cozy in the best possible Parisian way. For a first trip to Paris, Paul and Alex's apartment felt like home. Though the area is certainly not St-Germain, Le Marais, or Rue Rivoli, we were delighted by the residential, working-class neighborhood and within very close proximity to the edgy and youthful Rue Oberkampf, Rue Partmentier, and Rue Belleville. Originally, we were supposed to check-in at 3pm, but due to Paul and Alex's availability, their very reliable friend, Ophelie met us at 7pm on the dot. This worked out well because we arrived at Pere-Lachaise about an hour before 7pm and had dinner at QBar a Thai restaurant and made friends with Pi Bua and Alex, the owner!
The apartment was in a wonderful location-- close to metro and hip neighborhoods for people who want to do more than stand in long lines at the Louvre. We were shocked to find there was no toilet seat on the toilet (!!!)-- we expected this to be the norm (as Americans renting for the first time in France) but found all other bathrooms came with standard seat and lid.. There was also no/limited access to Wifi which gave us an excuse to speak with people out in the city more but, made exploring a little more creative. This apartment is great if you are looking for a modest stay in Paris but, I would not recommend if you are looking for a cozy place to rest after a long say out and about in Paris.
I highly recommend this awesome apartment! I stayed there for 4 weeks and it was equipped with everything I needed. It was clean and comfortable and is located in a good and quiet neighbourhood. There are supermarkets, bistros and bakeries just around the corner. There are metro and bus stations nearby and it is only a short commute to the heart of Pairs (Arr. 1-4). Although my train was delayed Paul&Alex waited at the apartment. They answered all my messages immediately and kindly offered their help/advice for my trip. I hope this studio will still be available for my next trip to Paris :)
We really enjoyed our stay in the flat - it's very clean and tidy, with all the appliances and utensils you could need. Paul met us at the flat and explained how things work, and invited us to contact him should we have any difficulties whatsoever. He also recommended a really brilliant Thai restaurant around the corner. We had a wonderful stay, and would absolutely love to return!!
We could not have asked for more from Paul and Alex cosy studio, location was perfect next to the metro and stores, There are great selections of bars and restaurants to choose from within a short walking distance. Paul was also nice enough to wait for us at the apartment even though we were running late due to this being the first time in Paris. We would love to stay there again on our next trip to Paris..
Paul and Alex's apartment is a good size for a couple staying in Paris. Located only a few steps from metro, Pere Lachaise cemetary and good restaurants, market, coffee bars, and an amazing bakery.
Safe and quiet neighbourhood and not too many tourists around.
Paul met with us at the apartment for check in. He answered our questions and he was very quick to response when we needed help.
There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived!
Apartment is also on ground floor so it's good if u have a lot of baggages.
The place was clean and has everything u need from soap, shampoo, dishes, cups, microwave, washing machine, etc.
We walked to two street markets (marche Pere Lachaise and marche Bastille for fresh fruit and bread).
Also enjoyed walk sound Pere Lachaise cemetary which is free to enter and only across the street from apartment.
Easy to reach from CDG airport. We took Roisst bus to Opera metro station and then took metro line 3 to Pere Lachaise. (RER b was on strike the day we arrived).
It's also very easy to reach major tourist areas from here - only about 15 min to centre of Paris by metro.
Paul & Alex were just perfect.
Paul is a relaxed and really nice person! I appreciated, to have him as my guest. The communication before was efficient and reliable. He was also binding concerning appointments and check-in and check-out times. The flat looked even cleaner than before. I really like to visit him in Paris. Otherwise he is everytime welcome again in Berlin at my place.
This is my first ever experience to host an AirBnb host, Paul and Alex (more experience than me in hosting). Really glad to know them and to share stories about hosting people from various background. Felt really bad to let them waiting during check in (I was caught in traffic jam) but thanked them for their patience. They really took a good care of the unit and left it in a very superb condition! What can I say more, besides being a good host back in Paris, Paul and Alex can also be considered as an excellent guest ever! Highly recommend them as your guests!
Paul came to Lyon for a short business stay. I was great and very respectuous of the place, leaving the apartmùent in a very good state. Thank you for this !
I met Paul through our second airbnb booking experience which started with helpful and attentive email exchanges. Paul provided useful travel information and was waiting at the studio for us when we first arrived. We took advantage of Paul's recommendations and appreciated having him check in on us during our 9 night stay. We also frequented many of Paul's local, affordable Paris restaurant suggestions. Since our wonderful stay at Paul & Alex's studio, we've kept in touch through facebook and enjoy following them as they travel through South Asia. Booking a stay at Paul's airbnb studio ensures you'll have a pleasant, comfortable, quiet place to rest and relax and you'll be well looked after by the hosts. We will definitely look up Paul and Alex when we return to Paris.
Paul and Alex are very close friends of mine.
They are very kind, polite and funny. Their apartment is awesome, they worked very hard to make a lovely cocoon !
If you're lucky Paul will cook, he's an amazing chef ! :D
Their place is just near the subway, and you have everything you need downstairs.
If you have to stay somewhere in Paris.. This is the place to be ;)
