My husband , Robert, and I are "boomers" who met in college and have been married for 44 years. We have gone through the decades with our peer group, experiencing all the highs and lows, booms and busts, upheavals and exhilarations - both personally and as part of the wider cultural shifts of the eras. Along the way, Robert built a thriving accounting business and I worked in many aspects of the entertainment industry, as an actress, model, script consultant, researcher, story editor, agent and writer. We are still actively working in our fields. We have an adult son, who is a writer.
We are fairly well-traveled and prefer staying in condos or private homes instead of hotels, resorts or cruises. We like the sense of discovery that you get when you take time to explore and learn about a place and its people. We like to let our sense of smell lead us to the great little restaurant around the corner. We like to take time to examine the local cultural, historical and artistic sites on our own. We are fairly gregarious so we find ourselves talking to local people to learn about their lives and get suggestions about local events and areas that more accurately represent the individuality of their city. We know that if people visit Los Angeles and only see Universal City, Disneyland and Hollywood Boulevard from a tour bus, they won't know the same special city that we inhabit.
We are good, responsible guests. We will take care of your home, appreciate your generosity, respect your privacy and share the unique pleasures that led you to choose this particular place to live and share.
I do have a motto:
Life is long and full of surprises - if you are lucky.
