I live with my husband David in the Cairngorm National Park because it is beautiful, away from the crowds and safe. Little Birch Cabin is a true safe haven surrounded by wildlife and forests yet is still part of the village of Insh. Within walking distance or a very easy drive are lochs and mountains to explore. It is an ideal place to stay whether you want an active adventure or a total relax.
We opened the cabin to guests in January 2013 and found just how much we enjoy meeting people from so many places and helping them achieve whatever their holiday hopes are. We have lived in the Cairngorms for over 20 years so have good local knowledge to share. Our own house is nearby so are around to help.

We enjoy the wildlife particularly and love taking photos. The RSPB wetland reserve is right on the doorstep so we have easy access to some amazing hides and trails. I like to kayak whenever I can, I am a full time teacher so time is limited. The river between Kingussie and Loch Insh is my favourite kayaking route.
