I enjoyed my stay at this Lower East Side apartment! The space is exactly as described: simple, clean, spacious, 7th floor walkup. The room gets great light and some good views from the windows. It's not luxurious but provides all the basics, and the price reflects that. Gabriel was easy to communicate with and getting in was simple as well. The few housemates I met were polite though I hardly saw or heard anyone while I was there. Subway stops were convenient, lots of great places just a walk away. Would love to stay again. I'm truly going to miss the Chinese dumpling shop 1/2 block away.
Gabriel do it really the easy way and made everything to made us feel at home.
The place is well located, 200 meters away from Grand street station which make all New York easy and fast to access. The room has a stunning view on the financial district skyline!
The 7th floor are a pain in the ass with your luggage, but it is just once in the travel, so no worry about that, it will burn all the calories you ate during the day!
Cheap price for good appartment and top place! Go for it!
What a nice experience!!! Let's start with the apartment that couldn't be in a better location: u are in the center of the world... yes you have to climb 7 floors but it is totally worth it! Clean, quiet, welcoming, everybody was just super nice and helpful. Gabriel is really super nice, it was a pleasure to go home and meet him and chat a little before going to sleep. His mother was visiting and I simply fell in love with her! Too bad I had just 4 days to spend there I would have love to hang out more! I couldn't recommend his place more.
Appropriate and affordable accommodations and Gabriel was a very helpful and friendly host, certainly recommend staying with these folks if you can handle the 7 floor walk-up (c'mon you can do it, I mean my pregnant wife did!). Thanks guys keep in touch.
Location is very important, because we - my husband and I - planned to go around NYC, especially the lower Manhattan areas. So Gabriel's place is perfect: walking distance to Soho, Noho, Little Italy, and obviously China Town. Subway station is very near, and so is a bus stop. Added to that, we can also easily access the Citi Bike (a rental bike system by Citibank). Gabriel is also very friendly and others who live there are nice to talk with.
It's in the 7th floor. it is lovely to see buildings from our room, and during summer, it doesn't feel too hot there.
Great host and really friendly!
Gabriel has given us great ideas and places near by the apartment :).
I would recommend this place and the apartment has such a great location :)
First of all, Gabriel is amazing! On our way to Newark we were delayed at LAX for more then 7 hours. We didn't get to New York until 3am! And he stayed up waiting for us even though he had work in the next couple hours. I felt so bad, but he was a trooper.
When we got his place I knew that we would have to walk up 7 floors, but it was worth it. The loft is huge and the room was perfect. It was a queen size bed very comfy. We had a desk to put our stuff on as well as shelves. The place was very clean and tidy.
The location is in Chinatown a 5 min walk from Little Italy and Soho. The roommates were very nice and the place is quiet. For having 5-6 people living there they are all very quiet and clean. If we come back to New York we will stay here again.
Climbing the 7 flights of stairs was worth it when you got to the top to find a bright, clean, fantastic space in the middle of one of the liveliest areas in NYC! There was an interesting mix of people who lived in the loft who were all nice, quiet and respectful, and although Gabriel and I didn't see much of each other after a great initial chat, he was amazing in providing tips for places to hang out in the area, how to get around, and checking to see how my stay was going. :) I definitely would recommend booking with Gabriel for one of the best hidden gems to stay down on the Lower East Side!
The room was a decent size for two, with a queen size bed, and Gabriel had cleaned it for us. His roommate Kash gave us a lot of tips for places to eat and things to see. Having a kitchen in New York gave us options for meals, since food can get to be pretty expensive. The location is fantastic too, smack dab in the middle of Chinatown with a subway stop less than a 5 minute walk away. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area (personally recommend Cafe Katja).
The place isn't *perfect* though. It's seven (7!) flights of stairs so if you don't like getting a workout with your luggage, this may not be the place for you. If you are coming in the winter, bring layers as it can get cold in the apartment.
Overall, I'd say this apartment is hard to beat.
Rapaz muito legal e muito educado. As portas da minha casa estarao sempre abertas para ele ,sempre que ele precisar.
