Social entrepreneur from Miami, living in LA. Love life and smiling.
Chris' place was exactly what we needed! It was beautiful, the location was perfect (LITERALLY next door to the venue of the event we attended), and Priscilla was so welcoming and helpful! Chris sent detailed instructions prior to our visit, and made everything so easy. We're sad we only had one night there, and look forward to returning next time we visit LA!!
I stayed here for 1 week. As Chris was away, his cousin Priscilla hosted me.I must say Priscilla is a great host. She warmly welcomed me on my arrival and showed me the place around. Next day I was about to do some sight-seeing and she gave lots good advices. Last day I had to go to a place very early(at 06:00),she's willing to drive me to the place if the taxi didn't show up. She is awesome!
Chris is helpful too. That night I was lost trying find a cafe. I called Chris, he just answered pantiently until I found it.
Next time when I come to LA, I would very like to stay here once again!
All good. I was well looked after by Chris's cousin, Priscilla, who lives in the apartment. The accommodation was very good. Large room. Clean bed. Bathroom facilities. All you need really. No complaints. I would recommend to others. Thank you Chris.
This place is great -- easy to get to from PDX in 45 minutes on the Red Line train, and less than a mile walk from the Oregon Convention Center where we needed to be every day. Chris is a fantastic and helpful host (but will leave you alone if you're crashing from jetlag), and even let us check out late on our last day. The suite is quite nice, so there were basically no downsides; we'd happily stay here again next time we need to do something in the convention center.
It was a pleasure staying at Chris' place. Communication to arrange my visit was simple. Chris responded quickly and provided everything I needed for a late arrival. Chris was away so his cousin welcomed me. She's great! The room is large, clean and comfortable. Great location. Highly recommend!
Chris was a gracious host for our stay in Portland, very communicative and flexible and providing us with lots of great recommendations and ideas of things to do - so many we only got around to doing a few, but they were spot on. The room is clean and spacious, and the bathroom is also very clean and properly equipped. The room can be a little noisy at night as it is by the train station, but if you're a city dweller it shouldn't bother you. There are a few blocks near his place that felt a little dodgy, especially in Chinatown (where there are often queues by a makeshift homeless shelter) and by the greyhound bus station, but we never felt unsafe. This was our first time using air bnb and overall it was a great experience! Thanks Chris!
My fiancé had a job interview in Portland so we were looking to see the city and the apartment was perfect! Very convenient and easy walking distance to everything! Chris and Paulina were very helpful and wonderful hosts! Would def recommend him to anyone!
We paid for 3 nights, but left after 2.
There are a few reasons for this.
o The room and bed could have been cleaner
o There is a homeless shelter nearby the house, which tends to attract some dubious individuals. Walking back from the city we encountered a couple such individuals en route which made us very nervous
o Although the listing says street/garage parking is available, it is extra (and quite pricey). We mention this because every other listing we've stayed at has made this clear. We did bring this up with Chris but his only response was to offer his unused garage for $20 per day.
The location is perfect especially if you want to ride the train and enjoy the Pearl's District night life. Chris was out of town so I had the place all to myself. I would recommend this place to anybody looking to stay in Portland and I wish the best for Chris.
Priscilla, Chris's cousin, was our host for the weekend. Overall our stay was not bad. Priscilla was very nice and communicated very promptly if we needed anything. The location is convenient for getting to ktown and downtown LA. We had one sink in the master bedroom and we had access to one bathroom. The apartment is well kept and clean. The keys were easy to access at check-in and checking out was just as easy. The room had AC and was great for coming back to to change. We spent most of our time out so it was more of a pit stop place as well as a place to sleep.
We did book the place for 3 people but only had 1 bedroom and a couch. According to the place description there was another bed available but that was in another room and rented out to other guests at the same time we were booked. Kind of a bummer since one person had to sleep on the couch vs a bed which was not expected at all.
One more inconvenience we had was finding street parking. Parking is only free on Sunday so for other nights we had to park at a nearby parking garage for 7$ overnight. You can park at the meters at night but they become active at 8AM. Unless you plan to leave before 8AM, you'll have to wake up at 8 to pay the meter before going back to sleep or getting ready to start your day.
Chris contacted me to help host a couple who had a reservation with him but there had been an issue with the booking. I could tell that he was looking to accommodate his guests the most convenient way for them. Great communication and very kind host. I recommend Chris' to anyone.
Chris and his gal are so nice!!! I got to chat with Chris and found out he is a host as well. Chris was vary easy to host and took great care of my space. Chris stood out side in the cold and rain to get to know me well I was working on a permanent lighting installation in the trees out front of my building, super personable and a great communicator.
Chris was awesome! He is friendly, and clean. Loved having his company. I recommend him to all the hosts around the world:)
Chris was an absolutely wonderful house guest! He has a kind heart and quickly became a friend instead of just someone renting out our space. Both my roommate and I were traveling on and off during his stay and instead of worrying we both felt reassured having him at home while we were gone. I truly can't say enough positive things about him and he is welcome back anytime he visits Portland!
Chris and Paulina were amazing guests! We had such a great time getting to know each of them: their passions and talents are evident in the way they move and communicate. What a charming, thoughtful, generous and interesting couple. The perfect guest! We would welcome them in our home any time!!
Chris was an awesome guest. He was very respectful and the easiest person to get along with. I would encourage anyone to have Chris over as a guest. You won't be dissapointed.
A gentleman and a great guest!
Chris is awesome. He is kind, professional, and thoughtful. Can't ask for more from a host. This apartment is nestled in between neighborhoods and offers quick access to attractions. Great views, space, and experience!
