The reservation was canceled 20 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This room was in a great location for me, and came exactly as advertised.
The room was exceptionally clean and Cici was able to answer all of my questions and was available as I needed.
One of the unadvertised Amenities of this location is that there is ALWAYS a taxi waiting outside the front door, at any time of the day or night which I found to be very useful.
Overall, I'd recommend this room to future travelers.
We had an ok stay at Cici's place. I contacted her before our arrival to let her know exactly what time we would be arriving yet I heard nothing from her so assumed I would call when we arrived.
We arrived and called her multiple times but didn't hear back so we couldn't check. We then had to call AirBnB support and waited for 2 hours in a nearby cafe considering other accommodation. Finally I tried calling one last time and she picked her phone up. Turned out she thought we were arriving at 7pm ? Not sure why...
Apart from the bad start we had an ok stay. The place is in quite a good location but it is the financial district so not really much character to it. The living room is really big and spacious, a little sparse actually but you have a nice view of the city and the willis tower which is pretty cool.
We felt like it was quite private even though Cici was there all the time. Cici herself is very quiet and spoke about 2 words to us so didn't get any good tips from her.
The place is relatively clean and the bed is comfy but we didn't get towels from her and we had to work out by ourselves that the laundry room is downstairs and requires you to put money on a card. Also, there was hardly any bowls, plates or cutlery that were clean so don't plan on using the kitchen. We had to wash 2 bowls and spoons to have some breakfast in the morning. I noticed that all the dishes sat in the dishwasher the whole time we were there.
My boyfriend and I were flying to Hong Kong for a wedding from Chicago, so we needed a place to stay the night before (we were coming from Michigan). I found Cici's listing on Airbnb - and I was nervous because it would be my first Airbnb experience. I needn't have worried - Cici was very nice and our space was very private. Next day we checked out, very straight-forward, no issues at all. Thank you Cici!
Cici's place is very centrally located. Buses, trains and metra stations are closeby. Walmart in the building is very convenient to get your groceries. Cici replied to all the inquiries quickly. Nice host.
Cici's place is in a great location! It's 2 blocks from Avec (excellent food, a bit pricy but worth it), and a 15-20 minute walk to the bean in Millennium Park. She also gives you the whole living room to yourself. I'm glad I stayed :)
Very good location. Big room. Nice host. Lot's of privacy.
For the rate and location, you can't beat it. Much better than a hostel with your own private (relatively clean) room. The bed and sheets are super comfortable, but bring a towel to shower as I forgot one and Cici didn't have an extra. Overall, a pleasant experience!
she is sooooooo kind, when I arrived at her place lately she gave a Korean noodle for me. so impressed. T0T
The location is really good. Several stations away from most of the popular attractions. Room is big enough for two people, and most important, it's quiet and clean. Highly recommended!
CiCi was only here for one night. Very nice, quiet and respectful of the house rules.
I am glad to have Ran as my guest. She's very easygoing, very open and good to communicate with. She's very independent; other than the first day of her moving in, she's completely on her own and tried her best not to bother me. in short, she's a friendly and reliable guest to have.
