Beautiful place, super convenient location, very peaceful. Everything was perfect. It was a stressful weekend with the marathon cancellation and Sandy, and this place was a great haven.
We stayed 5 days in the apt and it worked really well for us. For the same price as a double queen room (4 pax) this apt gave us much more space and a chance to relax quietly after hectic days in NY. Great morning run in Central Park!
The apartment is nice and the location is very beautiful, you have just to cross the road to get in Central Park.
I was looking for an apt. with a separate bedroom but this one doesn't have it: there are 2 rooms but there isn't a door so you don't have much privacy. The house is quite bare, the bed in the bedroom is ok but quite little, about the other beds one is a convertible one, the other a futon, uncomfortable. The host isn't very generous with paper and other stuff: she left us an almost finished shower gel saying that was for us. Some thing for the toilet paper.
She welcomed us while she was emptying the apt. from her stuff . The first thing she said was how to clean, showing us how to use the hoover and remarking continuously that there wasn't any dust at all.
The house however is clean even if the sheets and the blanket are stained.
Be prepared to pay 150 $ for the cleaning: she told us that if we intended to have them by ourself and she found a fleck of dust she would have debited us 150$. And be prepared to pay by cash! Not allowed payment with credit card. She didn't explain us nothing about the city, only two things while she was leaving.
I don't know if I would recommend it. I'm sorry for Virginie.
This was a perfect little apartment for us next to Central Park, the Subway station, Whole Foods, Starbucks and the Children's Museum. The place was clean and comfortable and slept our group which ranged from 3-5 people during our 2 week stay. We would definitely return. Thank you!!
Very nice place, near subway and attractions. Apartment clear, calm and in front of Central Park . It's great. The host was very pleasant.
The location is fabulous. The bed in the one bedroom is comfortable but the other two were not so much. We were five adults sharing the space and it's pretty tiny. The host is not very generous with supplying the basic needs like toilet paper. Be prepared to pay $150 for cleaning and washing linen or plan your stay around doing it yourself. It's a great location though.
The apartment has a great location, is very comfortable, and Virginie
Is really nice, we had a great time in New York
Overall we had a great visit in New York and enjoyed the apt. The apt is in a nice and quiet area. It has a large bedroom that was comfortable for my wife and me. The living room has 2 foldout beds that are similar to futons that worked OK for 3 young adults.
You do not have to pay cleaning fees which will save some money. However, you have to clean the apt and take the towels and bedding to cleaners and pay.
Virginie was a good host and responded to our inquiries.
The place was very nice and comfortable. It was located right across the street from central park and very close to the subway. We felt very safe and enjoyed being close to great grocery stores. Virginie met us and explained how everything worked in the apartment. She was very friendly.
If you stay at her place, be prepared to supply some of your own toiletries such as toilet paper and dish soap if you don't want to use the dishwasher. Also, you will need to wash all of the linens and towels before checking out. There's a washer/dryer in the building, so give yourself some time for this. We didn't and needed to pay to have these items cleaned by a service.
All in all, it was a great place to stay.
Nice and gentle lady
Nicole booked with us not just to stay, but also to hold a small physical therapy class in our parlors. It was a pleasure to have her as a guest and the class was very well run. Nicole was very responsible and independent. Everything was left clean and in order. I would be happy to host her again.
