Confirmation of the space happens at the time the reservation is accepted. No guests has ever asked me for confirmation from Airbnb. It is automatic.
Colleen was over the top with texting and calling her arriving time. I did response to her first text but she didn't read it. She said she sent emails which I didn't receive. She said she used the (website hidden) system which keeps track of all emails and none were received there. Four days after her arrival, I received an email about her flight departing late. Perhaps she has a problem with her email server.
Upon arrival it was clear that Colleen has anger issues. She had to tell me she was an attorney as if to put pressure on me.
I ask guests to let me know if they need a late check-out. She never did and on the check-out day she was still there at 1:30pm. Norbert went to the apartment to ask what was happening and she was very abrupt and her husband said "we're leaving". All she had to do was tell me she wanted a late check-out. She was extremely rude.
I normally have no problems like this with my guests. I usually can tell from the first email if I want them in my home. She slipped through the cracks.
Do yourself a favor, stay clear Airbnb hosts of this problematic person.
