i live another house which is her friends' house..
i was so embrassed.
i think that she was not professional... cuz she sent me a msg just 12hours before i checked in... anyway it's definitely ridiculous for me to change another house. Even though i had the bad experience, her friend ,MIKE, was cool.
i would prefer have eaten a s..t, we say in italy..
The accommodations are wholly mispriced. Though the host is nice, thorough, and responds quickly to messages, the accommodations are pitiful. The market price is no more than $10. In fact, I've paid $10 dollars for a better hostel bed. I host couchsurfers for free with better sleeping arrangements.
Firstly, the dog, though not scary and and sequestered in his cage in the other room, whimpered or barked for most of the night, loudly. The futon is a lumpy rock, and the sheets were covered with dog hair. Needless to say, I didn't sleep, and I'm a seasoned, hardy traveller. I didn't use the kitchen and barely used the bathroom, and they both seemed adequate.
I would only consider sleeping here again for free and would never recommend this place to a friend.
Though Stacy was very helpful and never failed to answer our questions by sms in the minute, and while the apartment is very well located (between the bus station on 30th street and the Philadelphia Museum of Art), the rooms, beds (i.e. the futon sofas) and floor - and guinea pigs cages - had evidently not been cleaned for months. It's obvious that with that kind of price, you can't expect very comfortable sofas, and that's okay. But the least thing should be to have something clean in the house...
Dirty and uncomfortable.
Stacy was away when I arrived, but the room was ready: clean bed, and a brand new towel (still had label!). Good location for 15-min walk across the river to the Art Museum and start/end of the Philly marathon. Had on-street parking, which was good, and apartment was very quiet (good rest!).
Stacy lived up to all she promised.
Left me a nicely made futon with clean sheets and the place to rest for the night.
There's a cute cafe nerby and the university restaurant life. Good location.
Never did meet her unfortunately.
If your looking for a cheap place to just crash and you don't mind uncleanliness then this is the place for you. if not then I would suggest forking over the extra cash for a nicer place. The futon sheets looked like they hadn't been changed in weeks as well as the blanket and was pretty lumpy. She was dog sitting and the whole place smelled of dog feces. The dog was pretty intimidating as well. The bathroom was not clean at all, I didn't even attempt to take a shower because of the condition it was in. I only needed a place to crash so my stay was minimal. I won't be coming back to stay at this place.
Stacy is very nice and accommodating and the location is close to a lot of things.
That said the place is not clean at all. If I were in college I would be totally cool with the level of cleanliness but now, I am 32, married and wondering why I didn't just pony up an extra twenty for a grimeless bathroom and clean sheets.
There really isn't an upside to the interior of the place except the nice cat that sits on you for attention when you are trying to read. Without trying to be a whining reviewer jerk, I would recommend trying some of the other spots.
This was my first time on Airbnb and I am questioning if there will be a second. I left after the first night and didn't stay for the second.
I arrived there very late and there was no complaint! comfy stay and amicable cat. Will book again!
