Hi! I'm from Oregon (USA) and I've been living/studying/working in Spain for the last 4 1/2 years. I came here to do a masters in business management and I now work in a foundation of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs that specializes in relations with the Middle East. It's an intense work environment, yet very enjoyable in the sense that I get to meet and work people from all over the world.
As for my interests, I love playing guitar--mostly acoustic alternative, but deep down I want to be a blues rocker--dancing salsa, and during the summer it's almost impossible to peel me away from a bbq. In the winter, I get into making hearty stews and reading authors like Steinbeck (e.g., East of Eden) and books written by friends and colleagues.
When I'm not on a trip for work, I usually travel with my long-time girlfriend Cinta, who's from Huelva, Spain. She recently finished her PhD in micro-biology, which I can honestly say is one of her great passions in life, and her hobbies include reading, salsa dancing (she's learning), cooking, watching tv shows in English and traveling.
We've traveled to Portugal, Bulgaria, Germany, the U.S. and all over Spain together. Currently, we have our sights set on exploring Asia, the Middle East and more of the Americas.
We very much look forward to meeting future hosts and experiencing all that your beautiful homes, countries and cultures have to offer.
