my name is Jens
I had a fabulous stay with on the Cutty Jean, which was moored for winter in a perfect position opposite the main gate of Kotor (Cattoro). The town itself it fabulous enough, especially the hill climb behind it, but to experience Kotor from the harbour itself was very special. Jens & Alexa were extremely friendly and invited me to dinner and breakfast in the local area, plus some drinks on the boat! :-)
The Cutty Jean's interior was nice and wooden, lit by LEDs — not for claustrophobes or very large people — but I slept very comfortably in the 2m-long bed, gently being rocked to sleep by the waves.
From Bar railway station (which has a sleeper connection to Belgrade RS), it's about 90 mins by bus (€6.50), or 2.25hrs from Dubrovnik (€20+luggage).
My only regret was that I could only stay one night.
Don't miss this experience if you're in the area!
We loved our two-night stay on the Cutty Jean. Such a unique experience. Our hosts were awesome--so welcoming and warm but also happy to let us do our own thing. The boat is small but certainly comfortable, and nicely outfitted.
We had a blast with Jens and his friends, and it was a pleasure to join in the festivities of his birthday. The boat is really not for the precious or claustrophobic, but to us it was amazing. So much character, and such a different experience. Jens is really easy going, and we fit in right away. He is also an attentive and approachable host. As for the accommodation it was small (as was the shower, toilet etc) - But you are on a boat!... In Montenegro..with amazing people.. X
Staying with Jens aboard the Cutty Jean was a definite highlight of our honeymoon travels. The boat is a great place to stay if you are looking for something out of the ordinary and Jens is the best host anyone could ask for. He welcomed us very warmly and made us feel right at home. He helped us secure bicycles to travel around the Kotor Bay, gave us lots of recommendations for things to do in the area, and shared many stories and laughter together. I can't rate Jens and the Cutty Jean more highly. It was awesome.
What a totally magical stay! It was like spending the night on a work of art, but with the benefit of having a fantastic host like Jens. He and his friends were welcoming and fun and I would have stayed for another week if I could.
more than a hostel, Cutty Jean was a house shared with a brother, Jens!
I had a great time on MS Cutty Jean. Jens and Annette have been very nice hosts!
The room was very clean and the boat itself just beautiful.
I'm happy for this nice experience and hope to be on the boat soon :)
Staying with Jens and Annett was incredible. They welcomed me onto the boat with open arms and trusted me from the very start. They are very hospitable and friendly and always provide a good chance to relax, or party. Thanks so much for a great stay and a great experience! I won't forget it!!!
I had an awesome time on the Ms. Cutty Jean. I only planned my trip two days in advance, and Jens was so accomodating. When I got to Mykonos, he met me at the bus station and drove me into Paradise Beach. I met the wonderful and beautiful Annette, who gave me a tour and told me to make myself at home. Norburt, their good friend, was a great person to talk to and get great advice from about the area. Staying on the boat was such a great experience. I was able to enjoy the beach, snorkel (they provided equipment) and have the time of my life. When my stay was over, Jens and Annette took me to the ferry. Jens, Annette and Norburt are great, easy-going people who will always do well and find themselves in favorable positions because of who they are. Thank you so much for making my time awesome!
