Located in a bit of an eclectic marina within walking distance to everything Sausalito has to offer. Comfy bed, peaceful local. Great value.
It was a really fun adventure staying on Bob's Yacht! It was much quieter than we expected as well. Great location as well- we were able to walk to the Sausalito Art Festival as well as walk to downtown to some amazing restaurants. We used the public showers which were private and nice. The boat is an older model, but well kept and clean. It felt like being in a motor home, but we knew that going into it. It was the best sleep EVER- very gentle rocking and a very comfortable bed as well. Right across the street is this amazing breakfast place called the Lighthouse Cafe. Wonderful. We'd stay here again!
Boat is in a convenient spot close to restaurants and easy access to freeway. Exterior of boat is poor but inside is comfortable. It was a nice stay but would note unfortunately that place was not not really clean and top deck area was not inviting. For the price, though, a good enough spot to hang for a few days.
Very close to Sausalito downtown and driving to Tiburon and San Francisco was also convenient. All in all we enjoyed staying in this place. Neighbors were really nice and talkative so we didn't feel like strangers at all.
If your looking for an experience and not just a place to crash then Bob's boat is for you. Sausalito is a beautiful small town just across the Golden Gate Bridge at the bottom of the hill. There are plenty of small shops and restaurants to check out during the day and it's a short trip into SF for some nightlife. The boat itself is perfect for two people who plan on spending most of the time out but want a relaxing base of operations. The marina's shower and toilet facilities are good and you can't beat sleeping in the bay. Highly recommended!
We had a great night on Bob's boat. It was a fantastic location, only a short stroll to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the unique experience of staying on a boat.
It was a cool place to stay, close to restaurants and bars, Sausalito is a village type environment to see, the ferry situation doesn't work if you want to go out on the town because they finish so early but otherwise you can get a good feel for SF during the day and retreat to Sausalito for the evening.
The experience was great! The location is amazing and the place is quaint. It is an older model yacht but interior is well maintained. All I have to say. Is make sure to use the little grill! It works great and there ain't nothing like having a beer and grilling on a boat!
