Hi! My name's Julian. Last year (2014) I made the move from the beautiful Bay Area to live in Washington, DC and do science policy work for two years. While I'm out on the East Coast, I'm hoping to find every excuse I can to enjoy the proximity of foreign places: Europe, New York, the Caribbean, and beyond.
As a guest, I like to travel light and spend as much time as I can wandering the streets of new cities, hiking new trails, and making conversation in new bars. I like to spend as much time as I can exploring, so for me an AirBnB room is more the place I put my bags and my body at the end of long days. I like to downsize my footprint, and strongly believe in leaving things better than the way I find them!
If I get the chance to hang out or talk with my host, please tell me all about your favorite food scene, and I can shoot the breeze about topics including the inner workings of government, the pitfalls of late capitalism, and how to make Thai drunken noodles.
