I love to travel and the last place I visited was the US to see my daughter. We started in Chicago and did a bit of a road trip to Alabama, taking in stops in Tennessee and Georgia as well. Loved Memphis! This year I am sticking to Europe, hoping to catch some early sun in Malta and contemplating Rome as my big expedition planned for later in the year. One day, when I have a month or so free, I really want to visit Canada...that is the next one on the list!!
2014 update: windy Malta was fascinating with lots of neolithic sites to visit. Rome was, as you might expect, awesome and the Amalfi coast, thereafter, quite lovely (wore my shoes out with all the walking) but best of all was Siena which I would recommend highly to anyone Airbnb-ing in Italy.
This year's travels projects are Cyprus, for (hopefully) cloudless skies and New York for all the museums rather than the weather.
Travel plans for 2015 include Morocco in the spring and France in the autumn (to retrace my roots and childhood haunts)- those two trips should polish up my rusty French language skills.
If I have time, I am also determined to strike out for the Scottish Islands sometime over the summer and get to know my own backyard!
