I've the privilege to be living in these incredible islands for more than 30 years. These islands are unique and beautiful, and this is what I want to share with you.

Reasonably priced, clean, basic accommodations. Wifi was slow. Nelly made the stay exceptional with her hospitality.
We had a wonderful time at Nelly's place. The accommodations were decent and Nelly and Claudia were more than accommodating.
This was the best way to see the island! Nelly was an amazing host, she left me to my own plans but was also there whenever I needed something! Free use of bikes, free laundry, and the rooms have a fridge and gas range and all pots pans etc that you would need. And there are three buildings in the property so your room is completely private - you're not walking through their house etc.
And please feel free to message me and ask any questions if you are thinking about booking this place - I highly recommend staying here!
A wonderful family and a cozy stay. You feel like your one of their favorite relatives coming to visit. The airline lost all my luggage. They took me clothes shopping and helped with the phone calls to the airlines, as I do not speak Spanish. I agree with all the other positive posts.
This was a serious cultural immersion for my first trip to Latin America. The neighborhood is not as polished as the down town area, and they don't believe in street signs. Luckily there are many white pickup truck taxis to rescue you if you get lost on the bikes.
A very positive experience.
Nelly is a great host! The neighborhood was nice and quiet. She allowed us to use her bikes, snorkel gear and gave us a bike tour of the island. She even did our laundry with out us asking! The wifi and hot water were hit or miss some days.
How do I start to explain the level of hospitality from Nelly and her husband, Claudio. They were wonderful hosts from start to finish. Between truck rides to catch early morning scuba meetings downtown (we lugged our own equipment so mountain biking was not an easy option), to a scooter ride with Nelly when I forgot my sunglasses-transportation was a breeze. The accommodations are comfortable-they brought more dining accessories when they noticed we bought groceries.
Daily fresh towels, fresh sheets and room sprucing, laundry service, combined with unlimited use of mountain biking (burning off our plantain consumption in the process-do we hoped)-Ben and I big agree that this was an paramount experience.
One note, the showers were often cool when taken at night-it was so hot we preferred cold showers after our long days in town and in the ocean-but just a heads up for future guests. Also, bring earplugs if barking dogs bother you-most have dogs that help guard the homes-the fan blocked most noise unless you are a light sleeper like me. The a/c and fan combo were luxuries and something we craved while away for my the room in town. Definitely refreshing!
Luna (their cute terrier) and the kids were polite and mostly unseen. The grounds were lush and a truly perfect setting for our trip. Thanks again Nelly for being such a warm and generous host-you ROCK.
Wow! When we arrived in Puerto Ayora, Nelly met us in town and from then on, we were treated like royalty! Both she and her husband were incredibly gracious, taking time out of their days to show us some amazing spots around town that we likely wouldn't have found on our own, and driving us here and there as we shopped around for boat tours. Probably the friendliest welcome we've yet had in our many AirBnB stays.
The apartment was tidy, comfortably and cosy, with lovely green gardens inside the enclosure. The kitchen was a bit spartan, but we were only there for one night; I suspect Nelly would have provided extra utensils and so forth if our stay had been longer.
If you're looking for a friendly welcome in Puerto Ayora, this is the place for you!
Staying with Nelly was exactly like we had hoped after reading the previous reviews. She and her family (and their dog, Luna) keep a number of very nice rooms. She is one of the most gracious, considerate, flexible hosts imaginable. She and her husband helped us select day trips from Puerto Ayora to other sites that closely matched our interests and price point. Other perks of staying with her that we benefited from: free rental of mountain bikes to get to local attractions, car rides from her husband to two beautiful locales a bit farther away, pick-up and drop-off from the airport bus stop, and time with their dog.
My friend an i had an amazing experience at Nellys place. They had a list of things for us to do and pointed us in the right direction. They also were a great fAmily. I would highly recommend staying with them. The room was perfect and very comfortable.
