good place! but the Train ( garfild) next was not working..so was a lit bit hard to go to Broadway..also the shower and the air bad was not working very good...i was with 5 friends.and was great... GOOD price!!Id like to go again! Ray is nice guy=)
Also i left some food for the next guest!
Me and my 3 colleagues spent 7 nights in this apartment. It is clean and nice apartment and good access to Path or Ferry to Manhattan. Ray was very helpful and answered immediately for all my questions.
Me and my 4 friends spent 8 nights in this apartment. It was all good here. It was just perfect for us 5. Here are some facts.
+ Towels and toiletpaper rolls were available
+ 2 single beds, 1 double bed, 2 extra blow-up mattresses
- but the bed mattresses were plastic and the covers/ blankets were paperthin, not so comfortable
+ big and super soft white couch (good for 2 to sleep on aswell) in living room
+ big refrigerator (for drinks)
+ air conditioning in living room & in the double size bedroom
+ easy public transportation to NY city
We absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Nothing too special, easy way of living and good location. Not too far from NY city centre. All went very easy with Ray though Email. Thank you Ray! :)
It just works. nothing much to say, Ray answered perfectly to my questions. The place is next to the rail train, it's clean and there's lots of room.
There is one word which would describe it the best : catastrophe! We arrived in the late eve and just wanted to go to bed. But bed... there wasn't any bed. The description of a real bed must have been a joke! The bedrooms have just mattresses lying on the floor. After we asked Ray were the real bed is, he said that the two mattresses lying on top of each other were meant to be a real bed! Hahaha we weren't laughing about that. The other thing is to say that it' was dirty is way to nice. It was disgusting! It hasn't been cleaned at all. The was a toothpick lying in the bathroom. After we complained about the unclean apartment Ray made the cleansers come again. What they did : the toothpick was now lying 20cm away from its original place! And the ac was gone in the smaller bedroom. Good job. We cleaned the apartment ourself, because we thought then it will be definitely the way it should has been after someone cleans it. The other thing was that the building is for sell. One week be or we left we went to a weekend trip to Niagara Falls, by the way if you are staying longer in nyc it's worth to go there! Friday afternoon we got the message that someone is coming on the next day at 11 am to see the apartment. We weren't quite happy with it but Ray made sure that it will be very quick and they will respect our privacy. Sorry but that was a big fat lie! We came back Sunday evening and went to the bathroom. Our freshly washed towels were lying on the floor and someone, who knows who! used our toilet and didn't even bother to flush it. Disgusting!!! We let Rat know what happend, he said that he's going to talk to the estate agent. One week we didn't get any mail from Ray, as we checked out and let him now via mail, we never met him, he said he fired his estate agent. Who knows if that is true. Also the kitchen isn't very well equipment, just 4 glasses no cups at all. So all in all: we were very disappointed and suggest to everyone NOT to book the apartment. The only positive thing is that the apartment is very close to the light rail, to flat iron it takes approx. 1 hour.
Rented for a week, place was great and was completely furnished unliked some other reviews say. Internet is from clear and does not get good reception in the living room but if you move the modem next to a window you get perfect internet. It's a 2 minute walk to the Garfield Avenue light rail which is a big plus. All in all, great place to stay.
I stayed here for about three months and it was fantastic! Ray was extremely attentive to everything we needed. There were plenty of dishes, toilet paper, and anything else we needed he pretty much had it over that day or very early the next. The apartment was clean and the jacuzzi hot tub was fantastic! A very easy and quick walk to the train station, literally, about 1 minute.
There are other comments about the stairs, but they truly were not as bad as others made them seem. They have a little wear and tear-but the east coast building are older, so it's nothing you shouldn't expect. Overall it was a great stay, and you can absolutely not beat the price! I would recommend 100%. Ray was a fantastic host, thank you!

We booked the apt as 4 people. There were a queen bad and an air mattress. The air mattress was flat. The host brought other air mattress. But, this was flat, too. 2 people slept on the ground. Beside, according to description, the bath suppossed to be full. But, there was no toilet paper, soap, shampoo and hand towel. Shortly NOTHING. While we were staying in the apt, the host wanted the show the apt to someone else. It's very rude.
Overall, It was terrible. I never suggest this apt.
Seriously? A full bathroom by definition includes four plumbing fixtures: a toilet, a sink, a bathtub, and a shower. In what country does a full bathroom mean toiletries are provided? There may be a language barrier here.
