Hi there - I'm Jody. I'm originally from Albuquerque, NM and live there currently. Let's all thank Breaking Bad for putting my hometown on the map. :) No, I didn't watch the show (although the rest of my family did!). Too bad all of the other facts of Albuquerque are less well known (like the fact that a small IT company called "Microsoft" started there. ;)

Work keeps me on the road a lot which is why I joined AirBnB. I used to couchsurf a lot, had a great time, and have found AirBnB to be a wonderful version of the same concept, more catered to my professional life.

In terms of professional life, I'm on the road pretty much 100% of the time. I just started my own consulting company (right now it's just me) and subcontract for larger firms in different parts of the country. What I actually do is captured by the latest IT cliché-of-the-day, "Big Data". I'll be happy to explain the nerdy details in person.

Aside from work I do like to travel for leisure. I've spent a fair amount of time abroad, having lived, studied, and generally bummed around a few countries in Europe (Deutschland zum Beispiel :) and spent time in Australia. There's still about 4 other continents on the list.

When not on the road I like to spend time on the slopes, reading Stephen King (or other fantasy / science fiction of choice) or running. I also like to cook although I haven't done a whole lot recently.

What else.

If you looked at my Pandora account you'd find Matisyahu, Ellie Goulding, and AWOLNATION among the top stations. Not that that's particularly relevant. :)

Regarding AirBnB/kouchsurfing, I've almost exclusively stayed with folks as a guest rather than hosted. This hasn't really been a choice as I'd love to host, but more due to circumstances. I get along with pretty much everyone, can keep to myself as easily as go out for a night on the town, and generally keep myself out of trouble. :)

I look forward to meeting more folks here on AirBnB!
