I'm a technology entrepreneur who has worked all around the world (Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia so far). I started a YC-backed computer security startup in 2011, sold the company to CloudFlare in 2014, and now work in the SF Bay Area as a PM at CloudFlare, but still travel pretty extensively (conferences, personal trips, etc.).
I'm mainly a hotel person (because I like gaming frequent stay/frequent flyer programs; there are times when 3 hotel stays at $50/night can produce points to redeem for a $1000/night Times Square NYE room), but I've had great experiences with Airbnb as well (and have a lot of friends who work there). I tend to travel alone, and rely on review sites for dining/tourism options, but always appreciate someone's personal recommendations.
My main hobbies are startups, reading, photography, tech, interesting restaurants, travel, scuba diving, and learning non-obvious things about a variety of topics. Not really into clubs, loud music, bars, etc.
Eventually I'd like to get a house with an "in-law" suite or extra bedroom and become an Airbnb host, but for now I don't have space.
