Robin greeted us with a big warm smile. Everything was ready including cool water in the fridge and nespresso on the counter. The bathroom was filled with amenities. The apartment is very spacious in NY standards. The living room is very comfortable with a couch, cable TV and air conditioning. Robin even had umbrellas in the closet for sudden summer rain in NYC. The neighborhood is a huge asset by itself with plenty of restaurants, groceries and a Starbucks in 1 min. walking distance. Natural history and Metropolitan museums and Central Park are also walking distance along with the number one train on Broadway. All in all Robin's place deserves high praise for location, spaciousness and the warm host.
Great apartment in a really nice area of NY. The apartment is very quiet, providing a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This is despite being right next to some great restaurants and bars. Robin was easy to communicate. I highly recommend this place. Thanks Robin for an enjoyable visit.
We had a great time in Robin's apartment on the Upper West Side in New York City. It was perfectly located for us. I met Robin at the beginning of our stay, and she showed me around the apartment. It had all that we needed. It was clean and comfortable. The bed was particularly comfortable. It was close to where we wanted to be for friends and family. For other visitors being near Central Park and the Museum of Natural History would be a big plus. The building is nice and shops are very close.
Easy in and out.
Easy to find parking.
Easy accees to subway.
Robin was super easy to deal with.
We would stay again.
Staying in Robin's apartment was simply awesome! Robin was there to greet us and give us the key, she was also very acommodating when we asked if we could arrive a couple of hours earlier to drop off our bags because our previous plans had changed on short notice. Communicating with her was very easy and she answered all of our questions promptly, even though she was out of town for the time we were here. Her place was exactly like in the pictures, beautifully decorated, clean and very cozy. Three of us stayed here, my wife and I as well as our friend from out of town. The bed in the bedroom and the couch were great to sleep on, the kitchen small but enough for preparing small meals. The apartment building is a beautiful brownhouse in a very quiet and upscale part of the UWS, but still very close to great restaurants and stores just two blocks down on Amsterdam Ave. Central Park is just half a block away, so is the subway. We got our daily bagel fix at Andy's Deli around the corner, and prepared our breakfast in the apartment before we went out to explore the city. There are a few bigger grocery stores a couple of blocks away, Zabar's is a very good one. Robin's place is very close to the big museums, the Met, the Neue Galerie, the Frick and the Guggenheim are across the park, the Museum of Natural History is a block away. We honestly felt like arriving at our own home every day after being out in the city! If you're looking for a quiet and great place to stay in the UWS, look no further! Would definitely recommend to stay here.
My friend and I stayed at Robin's apartment for two nights and it was perfect for us. Having the entire space to us was great and its location worked out nicely. Central Park and a subway station is within few minutes.
Robins place is beautiful and comfortable. The new lace is literally less than a block from Central Park and 2 blocks from the museum of natural history. It's on a side street so you don't hear much noise at all. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is of descent size and there's a nice tv with cable.
Robin met Me at the apartment to show me the place and give me the keys. She is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. And I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the city
The listing was accurate. Robin met my son and I, she was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The apartment was very comfortable, including the living room couch where my 20 year old stepdaughter slept. The neighborhood was great, convenient, lots of restaurants, cafes, the history museum, etc. Would stay here again.
Robin made the entire process of renting extremely easy on us! Her apartment is so beautiful and equipped with the essentials. She was available via text and call for our entire stay.
The area is beautiful, only one block from Central Park and two blocks from the closest grocery store. I had an amazing weekend away and would like to visit her apartment again!
Robin's apartment is on 82nd Street close to Columbus Avenue. It is an ideal transportation location. Close to the B& C trains, the 7 & 11 downtown buses and the M79 crosstown bus. The apartment itself is furnished by Jonathan Alder, a nice switch for us. And Robin is an ideal host. Anytime from the start of our reservation to the end of our visit, we received an almost instant response to any question. When we arrived at LaGuardia, we called to say we were on our way into the city and she was at the apartment to greet us. She showed us the apartment and we gave enthusiastic hugs when she left and it became " our apartment." A much better experience than a second-rate hotel room.
nice, considerate guest.
