Staying in this apartment for 5 nights, a short walk to the centre of Westlands, was terrific for my purposes. I was staying in Nairobi for a wedding. A friend and I decided to stay in this apartment rather than spending a lot more money to stay in a hotel.
The apartment is very secure with a man stationed at locked gate, the door at the bottom of the stairs (the apartment is on the second story) is locked through the night and the door to the apartment was also locked. It was very safe and put me at ease considering I was a little concerned about safety in this city after some negative press for Nairobi in Australian media recently.
I went for a run one morning and would walk in to central Westlands from here. It seems like a safe and nice neighbourhood from these experiences though I was warned not to walk around at night.
Kevin, who handed over the keys, was very polite, helpful, trustworthy and responsive during our stay. He even took me to the supermarket to get some supplies, showed me a nice little quiet cafe and recommended buying a cheap phone for my week stay in Kenya.
The internet and cable television worked well, which was important for a news and social media addict like me. The apartment was spacious and clean, which added to the comfort. The photos give a good representation of what the place actually looks like.
I would no hesitation in recommending this place to others staying in Nairobi. It was not entirely modern, but was comfortable, clean, very close to the centre of Westlands and has a very pleasant and helpful contact in Kevin.
Thank Kevin for all your help and assistance during our stay.
