Took a 2nd last minute trip to Carson City and stayed at Bliss Bungalow again! Just as wonderful as the first trip. Quiet, clean and fresh! Just what I needed. Thanks!
Took a very last minute trip and was pleasantly surprised. The bed was comfy and the room was soo quiet and clean! It was within walking distance to several great restaurants, museums, medical offices, etc. When I requested the room, Joyce got back to me within 2 hours (wow!) I would definitely stay there again.
Comfortable bungalow. Great setting. Saw and entire family of deer walking across the street on our way to dinner! The Historic district is very nice and the list of restaurants was very helpful. Overall great experience. Many of the businesses including the Museums are closed down on Monday.
The Bliss Bungalow is delightful. I just spent one night there. Easy walk to restaurants, and the Capitol area. Had a lovely walk around the Capitol building after dinner, and also the neighborhood where Bliss Bungalow is located. The room is very comfortable, and nicely decorated. Also, you can control the temperature in the room. There was some traffic noise in the evening and morning, but quiet overnight. Coffee was excellent. Would have liked to spend more time exploring Carson City, but was anxious to get home. Would definitely return to Carson City, and would love to stay here again. There was a small glitch with the room not being unlocked when I arrived, but this was quickly resolved. Joyce was very responsive and helpful (just talked to her on the telephone). A great place to stay in Carson City.
If you think the outside of Bungalow Bliss is amazing, wait until you see the inside! Charming and cozy don't even begin to describe it!! But more importantly was how easy it was to get there (right near the cutest part of Carson City, the historical downtown!), and how comfortable our room was, as well as getting to use the kitchen, and have our doggy with us! Everything was sparkling clean, shower water was hot, and each room had it's own thermostat- score! The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful to take a walk through- Mark Twain lived in a house down the block!!! We ate some delicious Thai food that was recommended by our host...and speaking of our host Joyce, she was easy to get a hold of with any questions. When I am back in Carson City, I am definitely staying at Bungalow Bliss again- any hotel pales in comparison!!
Thanks Joyce for a nice, clean place to stay while on my long trip.
Response from Joyce:
This was an awesome stay! The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again. I went skiing in at Heavenly and it is only about a 25 minutes drive. It is a perfect place to get away.
When going to the house there is no need to have any interaction with the owner, so you do not need to worry about a specific time you need to check in.
Overall, I felt at home and I would definitely recommend the Bliss Bungalow to a friend.
You will not be disappointed when you stay at the Bliss Bungalow Inn. The downtown location is just a few blocks away from several great restaurants (Crackerbox and Sassafras) and outdoor ice skating if you dare. We quietly checked ourselves in and out without any problem. The room is nicely decorated in Victorian style with many interesting period furnishings. Not real fancy but very interesting and comfortable. If you like coffee you will love the freshly ground locally roasted coffee, and a little coffeemaker conveniently set in your room. On a cold Carson City night the flat screen TV and DirectTV satellite service (with HBO!) will keep you amused while you stay warm and cozy inside. Next time you go to Carson City be sure to contact Joyce and stay at the Bliss Bungalow Inn. Be sure to bring your ice skates.
Response from Joyce:
glad you enjoyed! skating concludes shortly after New Years...thank goodness, I don't think I could attempt at this stage of life! Happy Holidays!
